NMM, fractional are the stitches I hate the most and I have no doubt if I were doing the leopard it wouldn't look anywhere near as good as yours!
I didn't manage to pick up my stitching yesterday but am hoping once I have been shopping I will be able to get an hour or so done today. A couple of Christmases ago, my DD's had a photo of my dogs made into a cross stitch chart and I started it, problem is when I looked at it again the other day I can't make head nor tail of where I was (I didn't mark my fabric out), so I have ordered a new piece and will start properly once the Highlamd cows are done.
Here is a picture of the cows, I know most cross stitches don't come together until the last 1/4 or so but this has no definable quality to it so I am getting really disheartened with it. I really don't want to spend all that time on it and end up with something awful.....DD keeps telling me to 'plod on'.......

MoS I can already see two highland cows, side by side walking/ facing towards the front. Keep going I'm sure it will all come together the stocking I'm working on looks blurry but I'm sure once the back stitch is added it will come out.
Thing with your cows is they are made up of so many shades of brown you just can't see it yet.
I like them.SPC~12 ot 124

I am still plodding on with my Highland Cows, although I had to give up early last night as I went 'symbol' blind! I have got a few jobs to do today but will hopefully be able to pick it up again today.
My Kustom Kraft cross stitch Baby Tiger arrived on Saturday and I am itching to get started but can't as I hate having WIP's, plays on my mind and the. I don't do anything on them! :rotfl:
I hope you have all managed to get a few hours of stitching in this weekend and look forward to seeing all of your updates.0 -
Hi all, just on quickly to say that I did the first of 4 craft fayres with my Mum on Saturday. We shared a 6' x 3' table for £18. My sister is running the fayres and someone cancelled on the day, so she gave us another table for free. I took some cross stitched cards, six tooth fairy pillows and 12 pairs of crocheted hair clips (tiny stars, hearts and flowers with button centres). Mum had 4 granny square knee rugs, some bootees, some cross stitched mug hugs and some knitted dolls and garland.
I sold 5 cards (£10) and mum sold 2 rugs, some bootees, a mug hug and some crocheted garland. Total of £60.
We were both pleased. It's more about mum getting shot of all the items in her spare room that she's been making over the past few years! Next one is 31st October.
Hoping to post an update pic of Sydney tomorrow. You will need to play spot the difference lol!

I'm happy to organise a Christmas card/ornament exchange again this year - even with half a dozen of us it would work and I would miss not having a new stitched card to display this year - I keep them all and get them out every December

Just to prove I haven't been idle I have uploaded photos of some of my current wips to our group on Flickr because like mrsmp I can't figure out how to show photos in messages here using my iPad

Thank you Fos for offering to organise the Exchange and I would love to take part providing I am not too late already.
Just had a look on Flickr and have to say well done everyone on all the stunning pieces. :T:T:T
I think it is safe to say that I will not be stitching Xmas cushions for Xmas 2015. It is just not going to happen in time. I think I really need to just stitch a little cover kit to see if I can remember how to thread/hold a needle to seems so long since I have stitched anything.
Well done with Craft Fair Coxy. :T
I can see cows mos too

Just for the record - I have had a needle in my hand today  but had to put stitching away quite early as I was using navy aida and the light went quite early despite a lovely bright day. Oh well, a start has been made :rotfl:
