    Hi everyone,

Got back from our Florida trip this morning. Didn't manage to sleep on the plane and I'm still fighting the urge, have managed to get all the washing done though :D

GCSE results day for DS1 today - he got a b in maths and a c in English language, all the others were Ds and one E, so an upsetting end to our holiday :( He isn't able to stay on to sixth form and hasn't enough for plan B college, so we will go to the college tomorrow to seek advice. First time going through this, so all a bit nerve wracking and stressful.

Anyhow, I did manage a last minute dash to Walmart yesterday on the way to the airport, and I picked up 121 skeins of DMC floss at 33c each. The poor woman on the checkout had to scan them all individually!! This means I nearly have a full set of colours which has been a long term goal of mine.

Jamsponge - I have been to Ally Pally for the last few years. Mum and I went on the Friday last time. Most of the exhibitors are in the Great Hall. It's always very busy, lots of squeezing through the crowds so prepare to sharpen your elbows lol! I have a few favourite sellers that I target (Nimble Thimble, Trudy Anne Designs etc) to see what new items they have. Food is expensive so we usually take a packed lunch, which can be eaten in an adjoining marquee area or you can get a hand stamp and go outside and re enter when your ready. I'm not going this year unfortunately but hope you have a great time :)

Has anyone been to the stitch & knit show before? Going in October to Alexandra Palace and just wondered what to expect.

I went to the Harrogate venue last November and loved it. Lots of different types of stalls

    Lovely updates all
    Leopard is coming along beautifully

I actually did some stitching myself and started the Christmas stocking for DGS, I didn't ad the instructions properly so this morning unpicked all of what I did yesterday and started again, the area I'd done should have been half cross stitches not full ones, at least I realised after half a days stitching rather than when I ran out of threads half way through the the stocking!!!
    Lesson learned!!

Hope all are well and enjoyed the rather wet bank holiday- good weather for stitching

I have been finishing off some cards to sell at a craft fair I'm doing at the end of September. I've been trying to post pics, but keep getting booted off MSE! Love the crocheted dog cushion nmm - another item for my to do list lol!

Are we doing a Christmas exchange this year?

    Have a good day all

  • You've been busy cozy, they are all lovely.
I've put a couple of stocking updates on the Flickr board as I can't post photos in here off my iPad.
I'd be up for taking part in the Christmas exchange if there's enough interest.

Hope everyone is well, it seems really quiet in here recently
