Yup been really quiet in here, I hope to take part in the Christmas exchange also. I've just started looking at card designs. Still working hard on my leopard and I've made a start on the cute dog pillow I posted earlier.

Here is my latest update, not much left to do on this page.

  • Everyone's work is coming along nicely. I've not been up to much as my priority's are elsewhere. However here's the latest on the sewing project.

It's all ready for the boarder:

Very pleased with my seams on the joining here (excuse the dark photo):

    Hi all

Not been on much recently as I totally lost my stitching mojo. Plus wth it being the summer - eh what summer - I was mainly doing gardening. Also in the midst of decorating which is time consuming and the house is totally upside down. Howevere now it is autumn my thoughts are turning back to my sewing so think I will go through my UFO's and get them finished.

Love all the completed work its so beautiful.

I am up for the xmas exchange again this year if it goes ahead.
  • Morning everyone

Just popping in for a quick hello before I have to dash of to Sainsbobs.

Well done on the lovely pieces you have been posting they are all gorgeous. Hope the craft fayre goes well Coxy. That little doggy cushion is so cute.

As for the Christmas Exchange, I would love to take part again this year if there are enough of us to do it. Spare time has been so scarce here lately - whilst the fingers have been twitching to get the needles out it just hasn't happened I'm afraid.

Once again many thanks for sharing your pics - you all all very talented :T

    Hi everyone,

Kez the quilt looks amazing and very well put together. One day I hope to make a quilt to be proud of!

nmm - love the leopard update.

I have made another couple of items for the craft fayre on Saturday. Another card plus some crocheted small flowers, stars and hearts, which, time permitting, I will attach to hair clips or hair bands as embellishments. Thinking I can get some fairly cheap in the town. Mum has made loads of things so her half of the table will more than likely take over some of my space, but that's fine.

Our pooch has been really poorly these last few days. He's an 11 yo cocker spaniel and has been diagnosed with pancreatitis due to a mass on his pancreas. He was kept in over the weekend at the vets and now home, but barely eating/drinking. I have to take him back tomorrow afternoon. The bill currently stands at nearly £900 - what price a healthy pet? - but insurance will only cover up to £500, so we will need to move some money from our savings pot.

Added to that my uncle is now very poorly and in a home, oh and the washing machine is broken. I think someone must have a voodoo dolly of me somewhere, sticking pins in it!!!

Sorry for the off topic ramble :/ Hope everyone else is having a better time of it all!!!

Coxy, sorry to hear about your dog and uncle, I hope things are looking up with them both. I know what its like to have a poorly pet, my 14yo lab is nearing the end :( She's been diabetic for 4 years, shes also blind and is mostly deaf too, so sad to see them ill. My other dog is epileptic and has fits every few weeks. Their meds are over £100 every month. We count our blessings everyday they are here as life wouldn't be the same without them.

Right back to cross stitch, my latest Leopard update

  • Sorry to hear you are having a rough time of it Coxy. Take care of yourself.

Another great leopard update nmm :T

Have been having a bit of a tidyup/sort out/declutter of my stitchy stuff today. :D. Might stick some of it on fleabay and donate the rest to one of the local charity shops. Still keeping plenty of it too ;). I promised myself that I was going to do this over the summer and thought I had better get a wriggle on with it.

Fingers were definitely twitching whilst I was going through the stuff and DH spotted a lovely Christmas cushion and thought it would be a good idea to have one for each sofa. No pressure then :rotfl:

Hopefully I will have a needle in my hand very soon.
