Hi everyone,
Thanks all for the good wishes. Our four-legged friend is doing better today, about 80% well, so will see what we need to do going forward re. food. The vet prescribed a low fat tinned food which honks (can seriously smell it from the front door!) so I'm hoping there is a dry alternative.
beg - I too could do with decluttering some stash. I think I have enough charts, kits and projects to 'see me out' and I'm only 46 lol!
On the stitchy front, I managed a bit of Pretty Little Sydney yesterday. There are quite a few big blocks of colour, and I'm about a 1/3 of the way through now, so some progress.
Have a good day all

Coxy, its not chappie by any chance is it, that stinks of fish, lol. Glad doggie is doing better

I haven't been on here for ages although I have been stitching. As usual there just aren't enough hours in the day, days in the week etc.
I'm happy to organise a Christmas card/ornament exchange again this year - even with half a dozen of us it would work and I would miss not having a new stitched card to display this year - I keep them all and get them out every December

Hi FoS, lovely to 'see' you! Thanks for saying you will organise the Christmas exchange. I would like to take part please.
A little bit more completed on Sydney yesterday. I am currently stitching the roof of the Opera House which is two shades of off-white on white aida - painful lol!
Washing machine man fitted a new motor yesterday (£199) but when I put a wash on it tripped the fuse again, so he's coming back this morning. I currently have two damp loads of camp washing plus all the usual washing us 5 create. Not good.
Our dog is now much better and I have the dry low fat food version from the vet, so be gone stinky wet food! He has to have a blood test next week to see if his pancreatitis is any better, fingers crossed.
Have a good day all.

Hi everyone,
Sorry to hear about your troubles Coxy, it does all seem to come at once, but it'll get better soon. xx
Our craft mornings at church started again last weekend, it's a once-a-month opportunity to go along and do your craft projects, so another chance to share with them the progress of mum's quilt square. Thank you for all your lovely comments. My previous sewing history is just a couple of cushions and watching those at craft morning. I took my time and if it wasn't quite right picking the stitching and starting again.
I managed to do a little bit of the Winnie The Pooh cross-stitch, but not enough to warrant a picture.0 -
It has been a long time since I last posted.
I lost my stitching mojo after finishing my 'Happy Nappers' cross stitch by Kustom Krafts but have recently started a 'Highland Cow' xstitch for my eldest DD, although after spending hours doing it, I still can't see that it is going to look good
I have managed to buy another Kustom Krafts cross stitch from the bay of E today for a bargain price of £8.30 so I can't wait for that to arrive (hope my mojo doesn't disappear when I complete this one)!
My memory is awful so I can't remember who is stitching it but the leopard looks amazing.
Toddles off to ponder whether to finish the Highlamd cows or not..............:rotfl:0 -
Its me stitching the leopard MOS, thank you, I love it but there are loads of fractionals to do his spots. Please post a photo of your highland cow i'm sure its not as bad as you think.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
