not sure on framing myself yet, only framed small pieces so far. will have to think where i am going to put it first to decide on what frame0 -
Sweetcarer, the magical butterfly is beautiful, can't wait to see progress pics.
emmlouie, northern lights is lovely, congrats on finishing it. Framing pictures yourself isn't too hard, I've laced some and stuck others with tape, both methods have been fine.
I've been working away on my leopard, finally completed page 2, have jumped to page 4 as the grass is easier and quicker to do :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

Hi everyone,
Sorry I've been absent for a while. Nothing wrong, just not much to update you on Lovely update nmm.
I mentioned before that I am doing some craft fairs with my Mum. I have been working on some tooth fairy pillows - took a while to get them right, and they are still a little 'hand made' but overall I'm happy. Was thinking of selling for £3 (they are postcard sized). Would welcome your opinions please....
Did a little bit more on Sydney, but finding my evenings are being taken up with year 6 events (production, PTA drinks etc.) which means it's slow progress.
Have a good evening all

In a cross-stitch lull at the moment, missing the motivation to get on with it following my week off work where I didn't touch it at all.0

Blimey, it's quiet on here! Are all you lovely ladies and lads on holiday?
I've completed a bit more of my Winnie the Pooh cross-stitch in the last couple of days, will take a picture and share once I've completed the back-stitching on the section I'm working on before I move to a new 1/3.
For those of you that know that I've been trying to rectify a stain issue with Mum's Heirloom Quilt, which wasn't going too well and I then needed to decide what to do with it.
Following a number of visits to my mum where the house is a bit upside down and not at it's best (she suffers with Parkinson's), I've realised that spending loads of time making the double sized quilt won't mean much if mum wasn't able to look after it suitably.
Not to fear though, I haven't thrown the project out altogether, I'm going to turn the existing (non-stained) squares into a wall hanging using the other fabrics I had already purchased.
I feel much happier about this project now, as I'm not stopping it entirely and mum can still enjoy it without it becoming damaged, which would've broken my heart.
Shall share a picture of that too when I've completed it, as it will have an element of cross-stitching in it.0
