Hello everyone,
Wee heads up - hobbycraft are selling off their mill hill beads for a pound a pack - but if its anything like the Glasgow one - they are all in one box and you have to search if you want anything in particular - took an hour and half to 5 out of the 6 was needing - made a comment to them about it and they say people keep mixing them up when they sort them into - antique, seed, petite, etc. Made a joke at checkout do I get a discount for all that searching but the girl was quite stern and said no we don't do discounts.

Finished, just need to press and try and find a Christmas stocking in sunny June,
Have got one but it looks a little flimsy.
I might leave it and put baby's name on it when it's born,it's going to be a surprise.
Will have a think

The miserable so and so sweetcarer :rotfl: It costs nothing to be pleasant. What are you stitching that requires beads? Please forgive my nosiness
Really quiet in the Cafe. Hope everyone is just too busy to post.

I have been busy stitching my Leopard when I've had some spare time and made a birthday card for my niece, she loves skulls apparentlyCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Leopard is growing really quickly now nmm. :T Bet your neice will love her skull card :rotfl:
The recipient of my Thank God picture was absolutely thrilled to bits with it. They hadn't realised at first that I had actually stitched it. They said they hadn't realised I was that talented - will take that as a compliment - I think :rotfl:
Would love to do the LK 'A Good Marriage' for our 40th anniversary I think. No rush though as I have another couple of years for that. Will keep my eyes open in case I see it at a reasonable price anywhere.
Seems to have gone a bit chilly the last couple of days but it is supposed to warm up at bit through the week so I hope they are right.

I am planning - one day - to do the magical butterfly by Joan Elliott - I managed to get some evenweave and metallics cheap, so when I heard HC had beads cheap I thought I get some too - even got some petite ones instead of doing french knots (as they will be done in metallics and french knots are fun with cotton so with metallics I thought oh oh). Just need to get the DMC threads and I am all set. Will probably frame it as I can't stitch a cushion to save myself.
Sorry I have not posted much - lost my bug for a wee bit - hope to get back into it this week. OH has been a bit blue of late, so being a good OH back and being gentle with them and trying to lift their spirit.
Kind wishes to all,

Sweetcarer, have a look online for someone who will make a tuck pillow. I bought mine so long ago that I don't remember who sells them, but they are great! Any size you need, a range of fabric colours and designs and no sewing at all to add your stitching! You literally tuck the fabric in. In fact the pillow you posted above may well be a tuck pillow. It certainly looks like mine.
Sorry I haven't been around much for a while. Been having a horrible year so far. But tomorrow is my birthday and things are-hopefully!-starting to get better. :-)
I have been stitching a tiny bit, but I've got the reading bug at the moment, so have been getting through some of my mountain of books.
Hope you're all well.

I haven't done any stitching for a little while as knitting crocheting and reading seem to have taken over.
