    Hi everyone,

I had a lovely time in York ;) Bought a few crafty items - some aperture cards, some fat quarters, some buttons (from Duttons) plus some yarn for my next knitting project. It was lovely weather and the hotel was only a 15 min walk from the city centre. I did some clothes shopping too - no one to hurry me up whilst trying things on! All in all a good weekend, and I managed to get to the top of York Minster too.

I did take some crochet to do and my Pretty Little Sydney stitching. I think the combination of pre mixed pimms and the heady excitement of Eurovision meant that I spent most of yesterday frogging the stitching I had done on Saturday night :o I'm attaching an update pic.

nmm - leopard is coming along lovely
Mrs MP - love the framed stitch. I had the silver wedding anniversary professionally framed and it cost £40
Mrs ceejay - stocking is coming along nicely. Remember that I will be sending you the Sydney chart once ive finished it, so don't add too much more to your list lol!

We are off to York in November. It was supposed to be our first stop on our honeymoon road trip four years ago but was cancelled when I was poorly. We are driving up and staying there on the Thursday night then heading to Harrogate on the Friday for the Knitting and Stitching Show!!! From there we are driving to Newcastle for the weekend, staying with family. It will be a long drive back on the Sunday but have booked Monday off work and can get some knitting done in the car.

    Hello all,

Sorry I have not been about - been slowly plodding on with the learning sampler.

I also go some bad news last week that the exhibition had to with draw my twisted band but I managed to fix it - took it out of the glass and its now back up.

I am helping out this weekend at the exhibition from 2 o'clock - I will just be stitching and if anyone wants to learn a stitch I will show them :)

Hope all are well - such lovely work being done in here.

    Kind wishes,
    sweetcarer ;)

Loving the pictures everyone - cross stitch and scenic ones. Harrogate and York are among our favourite places to visit. Give us a wave as you go up to Newcastle tricksie - we are just outside of Durham. :D

Pleased to hear your piece is back on display sweetcarer. Hope your afternoon session goes well for you.

Woo Hoo just to let you know that the little snowman stitch is now complete and I have made a start on another stitchy project for our newly decorated kitchen. Bought the kit from fleabay at the beginning of the year and as far as I was concerned it was a new kit. Didn't bother opening it when I got it and I have now found that the kit was started and the instructions had been written on and the centre of the design had been marked. Only a bit of the stitching had been started and it was easily unpicked but it did leave me feeling a bit miffed. Oh well, bet I check next time :D

All I need now is a few spare hours to enable me to get on with the picture for the kitchen.

    Take care everyone.

Finished, just need to press and try and find a Christmas stocking in sunny June,
Have got one but it looks a little flimsy.
I might leave it and put baby's name on it when it's born,it's going to be a surprise.
    Will have a think
