Oh dear, hugs beg and tricksie, seems like you are both going through a rough time at the moment. Hope everything starts to look brighter soon.
No update pics from me, the exchange piece is all I've been stitching so can't spoil it for the recipient.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Oh dear b_e_g, how awful for you and your Mum. Sending hugs.
I haven't done much more on the exchange piece, so need to get myself into gear. I have a meeting tonight, tomorrow night and Wednesday night. Thursday my BFF is bringing her 14 week old puppy over as she is away this weekend and needs someone to care for him. He is really cute and got on with my dog when she stayed last weekend. Am out on Friday with my work colleagues for pre-Christmas drinks, then Saturday night/Sunday I'm on a rugby camp with my DD...... Will probably end up stitching at my desk in my lunch hour to get it done
I am presently trying to upload a pic of Sydney to my photobucket account. It's taking ages grrr. Not sure if I mentioned I have tickets for Strictly for Saturday 28th - so excited!!! My favourite is Team GG. And now IACGMOOH has started too. My current favourite is George.
Have a good day all

BEG & Tricksie, I hope things are starting to improve for you both.
Not much stitching done from me at the moment. Earlier in the year my dog was very poorly and on Sunday night one of my cats came home with a large hole in his shoulder, an emergency vet visit (cost was £203 for out of hours service) and it appears he has been shot with a BB gun! poor cat is feeling under the weather and just wants to snuggle on my lap so will be hoping to pick up my stitching again in a week or so.
I am still not enjoying the Highland Cow project but am plodding on, has anyone else ever regretted starting a piece? Lol. I really need to be less OCD about stitching and start having multiple pieces on the go, it might make me less bored.
Have a lovely evening all.0 -

Knee is much improved thank you and should be up for walking around York on Thursday and the stitching show in Harrogate on Friday! May need the odd tea break though. Trying to persuade DH to have afternoon tea in Bettys Tearooms
Unfortunately I had to have a steroid injection in my right wrist yesterday for carpal tunnel and my hand is sooo painful this morning. Really annoying as I had lots planned for my last day at home. I knitted the main part of a chunky baby blanket on the machine yesterday but have to pick up and knit the ribs by hand. That's not gonna happen, nor are my felt reindeer that I was going to make today. Might just have to curl up on the sofa and watch Christmas 24
I'll be back next week with photos of my haul from Harrogate xCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -
I've been a very bad cafe member and haven't been in since my holiday in September! Still been beavering away knitting and stitching though.
I have a few photos which I will upload to our Flikr group later.
Been a busy time at work, then DH' s car was hit by a lorry on the motorway and written off. He was lucky to walk away to be honest. He has whiplash and a torn knee ligament but lucky to be alive! Ten year old Ford Fiesta served him very well.
I am now the proud owner of a Citroen C1 which is adorable and he now has my eight year old Corsa as he does more miles than me and a lot of gardening stuff goes in the boot.
Had a small knee operation yesterday so am off work for two weeks and then have a week's holiday so plan to finish my Christmas shopping and get it all wrapped up and cards written next week. We are off to the Knitting and Stitching Show in Harrogate on the 27th November. We live in Kent so we are spending the night before in York and then two nights with family in Newcastle so a nice little mini break! I have been saving for this all year and have £195 birthday money too so planning a proper stash building day.
Going to a friend's for dinner tonight but planning a little stitching this afternoon. Have to update my 15 projects in 2015 later this week as no idea what I'm up to now.
I promise to look in again soon as love seeing what everyone is up to.
I love the Harrogate show but I'm not going this year. Hope you'll share your stash shopping with us0 -

Just thought I would pop in for a catch up.
Having a rubbish time atm. Found out last week that my Mum's twin sister died in Ireland and we were arranging to go over for funeral. Long story short - Mum had fall at airport and broke her hip and has been in hospital for a week up to now. Trouble is the hospital is around 30 miles each way from where we live. The journey is made worse by horrendous roadworks and motorway closure/diversions. We know that it is going to be a long job but it is so sad because she is 88 years of age, blind but so far been totally independent in her own home.
Regarding the card exchange - my piece is stitched but not assembled yet. I am so pleased that I was organised once. I tried to be as we were due to go on a mini cruise to Bruges towards the end of the month but obviously I have had to cancel this now.
I have put my Christmas cushion to one side for now and have decided to leave it for this Christmas and stitch another one so that I have two cushions - one for each sofa for 2016.
Lovely to see you popping in to the Cafe tricksie.
Take care everyone

Ooh I'm so jealous of the Strctly tickets. I and my friend both applied but weren't lucky. But we are going to the Live tour show again next year0 -
We all seem to be more time poor than usual for this exchange but there's plenty of leeway built in to the schedule. Ideally we will post our cards some time next week but don't worry if you can't make that. Just post a note on here so I know there will be a delay.
I've stitched my piece but need the weekend to sort out a card
Big hugs to all who need them0
