Morning all
Thank you for the congrats BEG, he arrived just before midnight last Wednesday, been counting the time down as he was 9 days late so we were getting very impatient. He is a big boy who weighed In at 9lb 9oz so he wouldn't fit in any of the new born stuff they got. He is rather gorgeous and I am very smitten.
Currently knitting a little pair of converse bootees then I want to make a start on the Christmas stocking kit I got for him.
Hope everyone is well and getting stitching time.SPC~12 ot 124

Mrs MP I'm sure that he will love the booties and the Christmas Stocking, I would have loved a cross stitched stocking. Out of interest which pattern are you using? I've seen some of the dimensions ones and they look stunning. I think that when I've completed the wizard I may look to do one for myselfTime is the Fire in which we Burn - Star Trek Generations

Hopefully this link will work I got it from Amazon
Bootees didn't take long I got one knitted this morning will finish the other tonight.
He's our first grandchild so I wanted to do something for him I could carry on for any future ones and the idea of their own stocking appealed as there are so many different designs out there.SPC~12 ot 124

Mrs MP, that stocking is really nice. I love the colours and the pattern. Have you done a stocking before? Are the difficult to do?
It would be nice to do something like that for my niece and nephew that they could use again and again over the years. Not sure if they would appreciate the work that would go into something like that though as its not something they can play with.Time is the Fire in which we Burn - Star Trek Generations

That's great, then you don't have to worry about stitching while you are together as he'll be doing the same thing!
My husband doesn't craft, but he does read, so he'll do that while I'm stitching, so it's not too bad.

Kez, that's a lovely stitch pattern, are you going to keep it for yourself or pass it along as a gift.
The good thing is that you are together even if you aren't doing the same activity. Have you tried to get him interested in doing something crafty?Time is the Fire in which we Burn - Star Trek Generations

Trekkerdude, I've done a decoupage stocking before it was the bruscilla wizard of oz one that had loads of felt embellishments on and sequins I really enjoyed doing that. I've not done a cross stitch one before but looking forward to it.
Kezbabybabe ( I had to be careful there as auto correct wants you to be kebabs baby!) love the little mirror stitch it is very pretty and delicate looking.
Nmm will you be selling tickets for the summer house and opening up your garden for coach tours of us in the summer?SPC~12 ot 124
