  • NMM, your work is coming along nicely and really starting to take shape.

Coxy11, I really love York and would love to get back up there again as it has been many years since I was last there and I am sure that you will find plenty of crafting shops to buy some more stash.

Only managed to get a little bit of stitching done over the last week as been very busy with work and sorting my driving out.

Lovely pics nmm and trekkerdude :T

DS is blaming me for it snowing today - I started stitching a little snowman card  Good to have needle back in my hand. Not stitched much though to warrant taking a picture. Will probably not have much time for the rest of the week now but a start has been made :rotfl:

Another York lover here. We try to pay a visit most years.

    Hi everyone,

New York!!! Now that would require some planning :rotfl: (slopes off to check out flights.....) Sooooo looking forward to my weekend away. I will take a bigger case than I need so can bring back lots of goodies ;);)

Loving the updates. The leopard is coming along nicely nmm. Trekkerdude - the black aida really sets the design off, looks fab :)

I finished a crochet project yesterday, and the additional yarn turned up for my sweater. Managed a (short) sleeve at knit and natter this morning.

I need to get to hobbycraft to buy some card blanks for my cross stitch cards. May be able to pop there this weekend then I can start making some up - and showing some photos!

MrsMP - hope you're getting lots of cuddles with DGS :happyhear

Hi Hope you don't mine me joining.

Just finished this was stitching it for the 3rd time for myself. Given the other two away. And now it seems this one is going to be given away as well :rotfl: Had my moneys worth out of the chart. I will stitch it at least one more time if not twice. Again one to give away and once for myself.

Has any one done any fanta cat designs as I have a chart and want to get started on tigerfly picture here

But I am perplexed by the key for the chart. For 3 of the colours it does not tell me how may strands but it does for everything else. I had assumed it was suppose to be two? Very strange.

I would contact Fanta Cat but they are no longer going.

    Thanks in advance.

    Yours

    Calley

    Hello everyone

Sorry I have not been about for ages - been busy getting ready for an exhibition the embroiders guild I belong to - I am exhibiting 8 of my stitches (probably could of done more but thought best not too). Most had to get framed. I have done them all myself - most frames I bought in bargain type shops but the big one for the floral alphabet - I bought in ik£a and the twisted band I bought specially from a framers as it is a weird size. I did think of getting it professionally done but they wanted alot of money - money I don't have and they said they didn't lace stitches - they used tape and I was horrified.

Anyway, I thought I would share my pictures with you before I take them to the museum on Saturday. They will be up for a month - I really hope they are ok, feeling really apprehensive with them.

and last but not least - the twisted band sampler (done in memory of my mum - really wish she was alive to see it)

I am going to be there on the opening day and also on the 16th May (afternoon) and 6th June (afternoon). I will just be stitching but plan to take my wee stitches book to do demonstrations of stitches - chosen by members of the public and be there to answer any questions.

So if anyone is an the area you are welcome to come along - if you see me - "hi" I am the wee cuddly red head.

Now I can get back to my stitching - nearly finished part 12 of the learning sampler.

Hope all is well with you all where ever you are.

WOW sweetcarer they look great, I think I should look in more bargain shops for frames. They all set off the pieces beautifully.

Welcome calleyw, love the owl but not sure I could've stitched it that many times, the chart was definitely worth the money :) Sorry I'd never heard of Fanta cat till you posted so I'm of no help on that one.

What a plank. No I have not stitched that owl 3 times. Once was enough. Got my copy and pastes mixed up.

Its this that I have stitched 3 times LOL!!!!

Just finished sorting out my all my x-stitch stuff. Had to clear it all up and put it away as other wise I could not get in to bed LOL!!!

I did read somewhere that you should not put needle work under glass because of damp and mould. Not sure I agree because of dust.

Also the item that I have stitched 3 times is only small. I went to framers and to do two with custom mounts and frames they wanted £50!!! and they did not lace it either but used some sort of board they stick it to. My husband use to do all my lacing as I am a bit naff at it. But sadly he can't do that any more for me due to being one handed now.
