NMM, that picture looks gorgeous! It looks really big too (how big is it?), my current one will be the biggest and most complex one I've done. That frame and mount really set the whole thing off.
I have finished my scarf now so need to update my sig, I do crochet as well and I am working on a throw to go over the bed.Time is the Fire in which we Burn - Star Trek Generations

Morning all
Welcome to trekkerdude, love the scarlet wizard pictures, brilliant stitching. Darkest I've done is navy Adia for titanic, ( there's a photo in our Flickr pages) no stitching done over the weekend as I was fishing off the knitted dress and sewing up ready for them to go to their new owner. Now my baby grandson is safely here I want to start knitting blue things and also think I will shelve Celtic Noel for a while longer and make a start on the Christmas stocking kit I bought. Need it done for his first Christmas.
Hope all are well and had a good weekend, mine was exhausting! Think going back to work will be Restful!
Lovely to see tzar again! And great progress on your latest leopard.SPC~12 ot 124

Good Morning Mrs-moneypenny, Thank You for the kind words, it always gives me a boost that people like what I have been stitching.
Do you have a link for the Flikr page so that I can have a look?
Good job on the knitted dress, I've not really done anything on that kind of front. As a side note did you know that the original traditional colour for boys was in fact pink?Time is the Fire in which we Burn - Star Trek Generations

Sorry I can't find a link but if you look on Flickr for moneysavingexpert.com's cross stitch cafe there's loads of the stitching we've all done photoed and grouped together in one place. It's nice to look through for inspiration sometimes.SPC~12 ot 124

Czar does look big due to the close up but its actually only 46cmx19cm, the flickr group is here https://www.flickr.com/groups/1577253@N21/
I crocheted a small lapghan in basketweave which I love, I want to make a large version for our bed, I told the OH the wool will be £20 his reply, I can buy one ready made for that  Some men just don't get it.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
TY for the link to the group, I'll check it out shortly.
Mine is going to be 36cm x 41cm (14x16")
As a man I agree that some men don't get it, it's not about having the item, it's about all the love and creative juices that go into creating an item like that. It's about the satisfaction of using your own hands to produce something from effectively nothing. Besides if you create one yourself then you can customise it to exactly how you want it in the colours and patterns.Time is the Fire in which we Burn - Star Trek Generations

Congratulations to the Moneypenny family :T When did he arrive? I knew he was on his way but didn't realise it was so soon. I'm afraid I'm having trouble keeping up with everyone atm. Hope the new mummy and baby are well. xxCzar does look big due to the close up but its actually only 46cmx19cm, the flickr group is here https://www.flickr.com/groups/1577253@N21/

Love leopard update nmm. :T I would have thought that £20 was a reasonable price for the wool nmm especially as you will be ending up with a handmade item at the end.
Still no stitching has happened here. Was hoping we could have had a look at framing Thank God but it hasn't happened so far and probably won't anytime during the rest of the week.

I've decided we are going to install a little summer house, then I'm outside enjoying the sun whilst still being protected :rotfl:
Welcome to the cafe trekkerdude! Great to have a fellow stitcher on board.
I've been given (so adopted) a small mirror kit and a Country Companions Cross-stitch (hedgehog flower seller). My colleague was going to take it up, but never got around to it. Anyone else 'adopted' kits etc. from people with good intentions?
I've nearly finished the mirror kit, so will post a piccie when I'm done. Not sure if I'll get around to the Country Companions one, as the project list is very long (or at least it feels like it!).
Update on the Heirloom Stitching, after numerous attempts to remove the staining, the squares have lost as much of the staining as possible, but it's still visible. also the squares are really rough in texture, due to the amount of washing they've experienced. I also think the colours have faded in comparison to the other squares. I have one more suggestion to try before I call it quits and seriously think about what I'm to do with the project next.0 -

I'll second that. Wish we had somewhere to have a summer housekezbabybabe wrote: »I've been given (so adopted) a small mirror kit and a Country Companions Cross-stitch (hedgehog flower seller). I've not adopted any kits but I am getting my boyfriend into stitching - he is doing the dragon by Janlyn and the water mill by derwent water.blue_eyed_girl wrote:looking forward to seeing your progress

Hopefully it won't be too long now trekkerdude before you can post pics here - it no longer says that you are a newbie.
