Been doing some research and found a embroiders guild in town - they meet once a month - I wonder if I should maybe join them?

It will do you good to spend time with other stitchers. I go to a craft club every Thursday evening, we all do different things but it's great just sitting crafting and chatting for a couple of hours.

I was tempted with Starry Night tricksie - but after hearing your comments it has just moved a little bit further down my to do list. ;)

Leave it right at the bottom! Haven't picked it up all week but it has been a busy one! Hairdressers on Tuesday night, went to see Hawkwind on Wednesday night and craft club last night. Took some knitting as I was too tired to stitch after my late night and early morning! No work today though.

Plan is to make my Tricky Treat Cats into a cushion, do some more work on upcycling my crafty filing cabinet then an afternoon and evening of stitching!

Wish I had some baby knits to do, Tricksie! I really enjoyed the things I did a couple of years ago. I learnt so much in a few garments without them taking forever. It was great fun!

There appears to be a bit of a baby boom at the moment as so many of my friends are becoming grannies. And I appear to be the only knitter which is a bit sad.

A house move certainly makes you have a clear out, I'm amazed at the things I keep finding. I put all my craft items in a box and it weighed a tonne :rotfl:

It's a great time to declutter. One box??!! Hope it was a big one!

Hello everyone. I was pleased WOXS dropped through my door yesterday. a nice weekend treat. No free kit this month though. :-/

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I've turned down a trip into town and instead I am faffing and tidying up at home today.

I have been quite headachey these last few days and work has been busy so I have been rather tired in the evenings so no chance of stitching this past week.

I know this is off topic, I hope you don't mind but I would value your thoughts. My credit card gives me reward points each time I use it. The points awarded vary depending on where I shop but on average I think I get 2 points for every pound spent.

Anyhow, I've been saving the points since about March and now have enough points to treat myself to a £50 voucher. I can either pick a high street shop, one of the high choices is I think m and $ or I can pick an @mazon voucher. the only trouble is, if I pick an @mazon voucher then these cost more points.

So I'm not sure whether to get the best value or to sacrifice more points and get something I really like/I would get the best use of. £50 would get me a lot of kindle daily deals!

    Afternoon everyone

Flat eric I would go for high street voucher as more choice where to spend it.

Elvis went to the framers this morning, he'll be ready in about 10 days so should have him back by end of the month.

In the meantime I finished my xmas dec, just need to back her in felt and cut her out.

Now unsure what to do, I know I want to do xmas stuff but the choices are:

    1. start another xmas dec, will have to look through stash of magazine charts for one

    2. start this as have the chart from a magazine...didn't realise it was a mini one though

    or

pick up this UFO...have done about 3 inches of it so far :rotfl:

JCS1, the war memorial is beautiful, I'm sure it will be admired for years to come. The family crest has an aged effect to it with that frame, its perfect :)

pm2326, love the snowman, my choice is do number 2 for this year and aim to complete number 3 for next year.

    Love the snowman.

My vote goes to the Historical Sampler design - they are one of my favourites and I think this one is stunning

Both are beautiful and your framer has done a great job :T

What a lovely idea to have your piece next to the war memorial I am sure it will be much appreciated and not just by stitchers for a change
