Hi ladies and gent,
Sorry I haven't been about for a while, lost my mojo for stitching, but been doing a wee bit more now - lost my learning sampler - hubby has been in a tidying frenzy so think he has put a way somewhere.
Another band done - band 11 - this band contained just cross stitch.
Close up
Just noticed my needle sticking out -opps!
Kind wishes,

"bobinnating" is all part of the fun
I even got the DMC number stickers and used them.
My mother is a hoarder, and think a bit of that has come out in me :rotfl: Complete DMC threads, including metallics, variegated, Diamant, satin threads, perfume threads and the 12 new colours.0 -
i was told to be careful with the stickers JCS as if they come unsticky and fall off you wont know which is which so i wrote on my bobbins. i found it quite therapeutic winding them on by hand.
the twisted band update looks fab, the colours are just perfect togetherSPC~12 ot 124

Have finished I love stitching, still not decided on what to do with it,decided to go to local material shop yesterday but found it was closed.

Thanks Mrs ceejay. Feeling a bit better today thank goodness. Mind you last night I wasn't a happy bunny. Checking the bathroom delivery with DH and DS and found there was a couple of problems with some of the stuff - typical I hear you say.DH phoned the company last night and they are arranging express delivery of a couple of items which are due to arrive tomorrow. There was me full of h*ll, spitting feathers and taking photos of how some of the stuff and been packaged badly and they were lovely. I know things go wrong but at the end of the day its how companies go about sorting it all out for you that matters. Fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow.

I was thinking exactly the same thing maria. She's not going to have any time to pack and sort stuff is she with all that stitching that will need to be done for the new home - pictures, cushions etc.

Ah yes! I remember contacting one lady who sold DMC and Anchor threads pre-loaded onto bobbins for a bargain price. She got hold of the large cones wholesale and then wound the 8m skeins-worth onto the bobbin for customers. Terrific if you use that system, but I wasn't able to take up the offer. I rather likes me skeins.
JCS1: I'm what you might call a thread hoarder too! Complete Anchor stranded cottons, Anchor coton a broder #16, Anchor Marlitt, Madeira Silks, DMC Linens. Good stocks of Anchor pearl cottons, all 3 sizes with a view to more or less completing the #12 size balls, ditto coton a broder #25. Almost complete DMC Light Effects, copious DMC and Anchor multi-colours and a good stock of both Gentle Arts and Weeks over-dyes, a boxful of more than a hundred Pipers' Silks and about the same number of DMC strandeds, and that's before we start on the boxes full of Kreinik metallics, beads and what have you....Guess where all my pocket pennies go?? :P
