I'm hopeful I can get some stitching done this weekend. My furrry alarm clock (aka the cat) has his MOT today plus I need to sort some food shopping and have a tidy up including having a big sort out of my kitchen.
I didn't sleep very well last night (watched the clock from 4.30am)so feeling pretty grumpy this morning!!!
Oh random really but does anyone have a talk 21 yahoo account with disposable e-mail addresses? If so, best to check your e-mail box for an e-mail from BT as things are changing and the disposable e-mail addresses will be lost - its moving over to another provider or something.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.0 -
Wow a whole day with no entries!! Is everyone busy stitching?
I am struggling with my Starry Starry Night and doing anything else rather than that. Had a terrible headache yesterday so no crafty stuff at all. Still have rather a lot of baby knitting to do and also want to start a Santa cross stitch... not long now!Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -
After approx 9 months I finished stitching Elvis at 2.24pm today :j:j:j
Going to have a night off from stitching and maybe have a bevvy or two to celebrate.
So pleased its done and I can now relax and do a stitch for me without any deadlines in place!
I'll take him to the framers on Saturday so you'll get to see him in a few weeks.0 -

I like that picture more and more, nmm.
Wish I had some baby knits to do, Tricksie! I really enjoyed the things I did a couple of years ago. I learnt so much in a few garments without them taking forever. It was great fun!
Done no stitching of late.I've been having a rough time whilst some twerp mis-used his influence to interfere in my private arrangements and made me spit whole skiploads of feathers!! Bah! Some people really need a boot up the butt.
I think I'll do a few 'x's before bed now and soothe my soul!:rotfl:Elizabeth

Hello girls and boy,
On a forced days holiday today, so thought I would catch up on here.
Done a wee wedding sampler for one of my managers at work.
I also done a wee stitch for someone at work who got engaged - was meant to go to the engagement party but hubby wasn't too well, so didn't go. Will give it to her at work.
Hubby been tidying up, so can't find my learning sampler, was going to work on it today - will ask him later where he put it. So I think I will just do some work on the twisted band sampler - will be doing some upright rice stitches, diamond eyelets and maybe some upright cross stitches - in pattern they are meant to be more upright rice stitches but I think it may look a bit bulky, so going to maybe change them to upright cross stitches.
Been doing some research and found a embroiders guild in town - they meet once a month - I wonder if I should maybe join them?
Well off to do check in on FB, and then some stitching.
Kind wishes,

Evening everyone
Well my idea of a no stitch night last night didn't pan out....by the time I sorted all my threads back into the box and tidied up the stitching bag I was itching to stitch again
So I started this on plastic canvas...2014-09-29 20.07.02 by pm2326, on Flickr
It'll look better once I fill in some of the body lol0 -
Great pics ladies :T Looking forward to see Elvis in his frame. I have never stitched on plastic yet pm - must give it a go sometime.
Hope you are feeling better Elizabeth - some people have no consideration for others. Some great stitching sweetcarer. It might be worth giving the Guild a go as you love your stitching and your work always looks fab. Hope your hubby is feeling better soon - how are his studies coming along?
I was tempted with Starry Night tricksie - but after hearing your comments it has just moved a little bit further down my to do list.
Managed a little bit of Keep Calm cushion very early this morning but nothing since and its certainly too late now.
