  • Hi everyone, just a quick pop in to comment on the amazing pics that keep popping up in the Cafe - beautiful stitchy pics and Coxy that little scarecrow fella is truly adorable :T.

Count me in on the exchange fos please. Thanks once again for organising it for us. Will pm as soon as I've finished this post.

Just started the third panel on the Keep Calm cushion - might have been a better idea to start exchange piece but hey ho :D

Received the latest WOCS too FE and had a very quick peek at it. First impressions are quite positive but I think I would rather have had a little kit as opposed to more metallic thread which scares the life out me. Must remember I bought some Thread Heaven so must give it a go now.

Mrs Ceejay, yes the move is this weekend, mostly packed now apart from the few bits and pieces I'm still using :)

Elizabeth, what lovely colours, I hated using the black fabric on Czar but it really does make a design stand out.

A small bit done on RF, but had another trip to the vets my wee man Gunther (ferret) seems to have a blockage. He was fine last night running around then suddenly was very lethargic, vomiting and not keeping anything down not even water. The vets gave him an injection to stop him being sick and so far he hasn't, just got to get him to eat/drink, hes had a bit of raw egg and is a little better. They pick their moments to be ill :rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

Love the vibrant colours Elizabeth - really would brighten anyone's day!

Mrs ceejay - well done on an excellent finish. Looks stunning.

I've been to Ally Pally today with Mum. I was good and only got two kits - a Trudy Anne design and a Jane Greenhoff scissor cradle kit. I also took out two subscriptions 3 issues for £3 of Cross stitcher and Simply knitting. Got the latest issues for free plus a Mollie Makes plush bunny felt kit. Also got a couple of balls of wool and a knitting row clicker counter.

Got Mum a craft light for her Christmas present -£70 special show price, think they're £90 on line, plus they will deliver for free.

Feet aching now so time for some stitching!

    Hello everyone

Time to share a wee update with you all.

Band 12 complete - not easy to get it all in one photo now - I have tried too.

This band contained upright rice stitch (the outer edge), should of been diamond eyelet stitches but I misread instruction and done diamond smyrna stitches and in the middle I did upright cross stitches instead of the upright rice stitches again.

So another stitch has been added to my wee stitches book - upright rice stitch.

    111_1797_zpsb41b797c.jpg

Next band - no.13 - is just cross stitches. I am now about two-thirds the way through. But I am going to get on and do my wee Christmas card for the exchange - have to do two as I am taking part in two Christmas card exchanges.

Hope everyone is well, I am hoping to go along to the embroiders guild meeting on the 22nd, so see how it goes.

    Keep well everyone

  • Thanks! Yes, the black fabric is a bit of a challenge, but I'm managing it OK. The rest is also very vibrant and cheerful. It's to be a bright cushion cover for Sir's room.
