i really couldnt believe my luck.
You definitely got bargain of the day Mrs M. :TMy latest RF update, more red poppies, the confetti was driving me mad so I chose the other page to do as it had bigger chunks of colour

I love these poppies and can see why they are driving you mad but it will be worth it.
Making good progress with the beading atm - the little bead napper is working a treat although some beads have still managed to 'escape' but overall it has made the process a little bit easier - thanks Ruth. The little bead box I bought from HB is pretty useless as the beads are that small they seem to creep under the partitions and can climb over the top of the dividers too. Its ok whilst I am not moving it around too much but would not be any good for long term storage.
Just put stitching away for the night as the light is not good now. Can really see it getting darker sooner already

You're very welcome. Glad it's helped. Must remember to use mine when I get round to stitching the beaded Christmas decoration I have. I used to store my beads in the contact lens holders. If you know anyone that uses lenses, see if they've got any old ones going spare. They don't hold loads, but it's enough to store the beads from mill hill kits in separate compartments for the different colours.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
DS uses contacts but has moved onto the dailys now. I might just keep them in the little plastic bags for now.
Sounds as though the rain has arrived. It's been really windy all day.

What a wonderful bargain0 -
Wow, that's a great bargain, Mrs M.
The poppies are coming along really well nmm. I can see why they are frustrating though.
Well, I managed to finish Grandma's house at about 10:30 on Thursday evening, just in time to drive up to my Mum's on Friday morning. I didn't have time to wash it, but I don't think it really needed it. I forgot to take a picture of it framed, but here it is completed and ironed

My Mum loved it, so hopefully that makes up for her birthday present being 3 months late!
I'm going to have a look through my magazines for a quick little project to do, and then it's on to Kissing the Face of God. I was thinking of buying a scroll frame for doing that one. Does anyone use them? You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

It looks wonderful - not surprised your Mum loved it and I'm sure she will treasure it.
I sometimes use a scroll frame - not so often now but I always used one for my big Mirabilia / Lavender & Lace type projects as they would be on the frame for a while and a scroll frame is IMHO the best for long term projects. If you are thinking of buying one I would recommend trying out different ones if you can as different stitchers have different favourites. IF you can't do this in person have a look at the different types on a site like sewandso and then search You Tube for demonstrations/reviews of the type you are considering.0 -
Hi all, still here and still hoping to finish by end of school hols!!
Everyone's stitching is amazing
Loving the poppies
Had some great news re: historical dress sampler, some lovely person has sent me pictures of each costume from the chart plus the colour list and stitch key, it might be a bit tricky to get them all printed etc and then I need to find correct type of material to use and then buy the threads ( although I have a ton of thread at home) so I might just be able to start it with very little outlay
Anyway here's my update on New York!

Love New York Annie. Hope you manage to finish in time before returning to school. Great news on the dress sampler - looking forward to seeing all the pics.
No stitching/beading done here for a couple of days now - very busy and then by the time I settle down I'm too tired. Oh well, no rush with it.
Wondering what to do next............... Might get all my threads out and continue the major sort out I started earlier in the year - possibly make it a challenge to have done by the end of the year. Then I think maybe some xmas card.

Funny you should mention frames, I saw this floor frame and nearly died laughing, I mean I suppose its handy for massive HAED projects but it looks HUGE :rotfl:https://www.facebook.com/Crossstitchheaven1/photos/a.122460191146314.20489.122242567834743/735265746532419/?type=1&theaterCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
