So cute - as were your photos of all your kittens - I suppose they are all fully grown now

18 months old now, all safely neutered (we had to use a trap to get the mother cat to the vets - think the vets earned the money dealing with her, she's still very wild). And they left me a mole by their food bowls tonight.........

    cats look really cute

    hope all are well
been working on the backstitch of homes, 6 done 3 to go then i still have the title and brickwork across the top to do.

other exciting news titanic is back from the framers, while it was being collected framer showed it to DD2s partner who was picking it up for me and he said it got lots of compliments from the other customers in the shop and the framer said the back was so neat it was almost a shame to frame it and hide the neatness. as i know she is a stitcher i will take that as a real compliment. and get this DH has bought me the threads needed for celtic noel so guess what ill be stitching next.....

Me thinks the historical costume project will be long......
I've just sorted 48! Yes 48 pictures ( 2 for each costume) plus instructions etc and found I need 53 different colours
Actually quite excited by it so must get on and finish NY.
Need to find nice fabric and check my stash of threads at home to make sure I don't buy any I already have
I may tweak it a bit to add a bit of glamour to words and maybe a change of colour here and there to match thread I have
Will print it all out when I get home on Sunday and organise myself
    Love the cats JCS1

It will be fabulous when finished but I think it will also be enjoyable to stitch. Being in different sections will provide the satisfaction of a finish every time you complete a figure. Can't wait to see your progress photos though I hope you complete NY first :D

How lovely to get compliments from another stitcher - especially after all the earlier grief with that project.

Looking forward to seeing the photos

Celtic Noel is fabulous; the beads and metallics take time but the end effect is well worth the effort
  • Finished stitching and beading on Mill Hill kit tonight. Will try to post a pic over the weekend.

Hope you all manage plenty of stitchy time over the weekend.

    Hi ladies.

Haven't logged in for a few days so just had a quick catch up. Everyones work is looking fab!

Someone asked about frames? I wouldn't be without my easy clip frame, posilock floor stand (holds the easy clip frame) and something they call a helping hand (holds the easy clip frame so the stitches don't get crushed when attaching to the posilock floor stand)
The frames come in lots of sizes http://www.sewandso.co.uk/search.aspx?keyword=easy+clip This is a frame attached to the floor stand http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Posilock-Floor-Stand__ELB-POSI.aspx and this is the helping hand http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/HH12---Helping-Hand__ELB-HH12.aspx
I have various sizes of both easy clip frame and helping hand and don't know how I ever managed without them!

Mrsceejay. Sent you a PM around 3 weeks ago but had no reply, did you receive it? Maybe you didn't reply as you aren't interested which is fine, just wondering if it actually sent :)
