Thanks for that shelly, it was me asking and that's really useful. I actually bought one of the easy clip frames last week and was wondering about a stand.

JCS I love the cat's, they are so cute.

Annie I'm glad you got the pattern for your historical dresses. I'm looking forward to seeing that.

I'm currently trying to finish my iris piece, that I put to one side to do Grandma's House. Only backstitch still to do but the stitching in the border is in chartreuse and I find it tough going in artificial light. I've managed an hour or so sitting in the conservatory this afternoon and made good progress. I'm off work now for a couple of weeks so can hopefully fit in enough daytime stitching to get it finished.

    Hi Girls,

Sorry I have been MIA (again), but been very busy this week as I was in competition today. I took part in 12 baking categories and two handicraft. So every night this week I have been baking and not been able to do any stitching at all, so I am so behind with things.

So how did I do, not great, but I got

    2nd for tablet
    2nd for cherry cake
    1st for chocolate chip cookies
    and
    1st for cross stitch picture

So here is my wee rosettes

    111_1754_zpsf49feaf7.jpg

And here is my cross stitch picture

    111_1753_zpse10ddeea.jpg

It was done in the year 2000 and from cross stitch collection, it was saved from my house fire - still have to put it in a better frame.

Hope all are well, keep stitching girls

    Well done sweetcarer :)

Latest update on RF I've been stitching only 1 colour but its a big chunk of it done :) I'm on 18 count and almost used a full skein of DMC 606 so for anyone else doing the design, you may need more than 1 skein if using bigger fabric.
