I'm glad you liked the fabric, Ruth. I dyed it myself a few years ago and was glad to find something to us it for. You can get so sick of white and cream as backgrounds!! My current cross stitch is being worked on black...
Good progress mmp and jcs1!
Oh and yes, Bank Holiday Monday was a washout here too. The Show closed early as it was rained off (not good!). Having said that, it was colder yesterday and I'm getting really tempted to put the heating on. There's something deeply offensive to me about using the central heating in August!:D
I wondered if you'd dyed it yourself. I love using hand dyed fabric and threads. It makes the stitching so unique.
I've thought about putting the heating on this week. It's gotten so chilly! Been wearing jumpers in the evenings.

love the pin cushion FoS
i was really pleased with the framing of titanic, i knew as soon as i went in the shop it would be good as the lady who frames was doing some cross stitch! she explained how she would sew calico around the edge of my adia to make it big enough to lace onto what ever sized frame i needed and it is double mounted because of the beads. At £45 i was really pleased ive had smaller things framed for more. will def use her again.SPC~12 ot 124

Even the separate "smallest room" has XS on the walls:D
Your kitchen sounds very similar to ours. We are having the bathroom/toilet knocked into one in a few months time (still going to be quite small) and I was wondering where I could hang a bit of xs. DH says we need a bathroom cabinet - I say it needs a bit of xs. What do you all think? :rotfl:flowerofscotland wrote: »beg If listing duplicate threads will help you when you are buying new threads then rather than being OCD it's :money:
One small finish from me - it's a pincushion from a free design by The Primitive Hare which made me smile as soon as I saw itPincushion by stitchwitchhazel, on Flickr
Fabric was tea dyed by me, threads, scrap of fabric for patch, stuffing and buttons came from stash so with the pattern also being free this was a :money: project
Bought the rest of the thread bobbins from town this morning - actually got them about 50p a pack cheaper than fleabay. So might start with those again tonight. Did a spreadsheet for Anchor duplicates last night. Quite enjoyed it in a way as it has been such a long time since I've needed a spreadsheet I had to put my thinking cap on. I have very few DMC duplicates. Once the threads are sorted, I might have a look at the fabric I have (won't take too long) and measure it and label it up with what type of fabric it is.
Your pin cushion is fab fos and to think all that came from your stash. :T The buttons reminded me of the one I had on the back of the Lets Do Wine cushion.

I don't know about everyone else, but bank holiday Monday was a right wash out here! Been raining most of today too. It's really got chilly suddenly too.
Ditto - well done Elizabeth :T - we were only allowed to use one entry per category.
Didn't have the bank holiday up here, was at work and also it was my other halves first day of college - going to do games design.blue_eyed_girl wrote: »Bought the rest of the thread bobbins from town this morning - actually got them about 50p a pack cheaper than fleabay. I should really sit down and do this one day, make a spreadsheet of my stash -threads and material - maybe even make a list of what I would like to do - the list will probably be a mile long :rotfl:
Not done much stitching in last few days been feeling really pee'd off with work - I was asked on Monday to look for a flooring item in my system, couldn't find it, my boss found it but it was under lino - I had been searching under flooring. Then today I got asked why I did something the way I do it - for years I used to do it one way and then last year I was told to do it another way - now I get told off because I don't do it the old way. I checked back and for the last year I have been doing the new way, don't see why I have to be blamed - bet the manager who told me will wiggle out it say he didn't. But I was so used to doing it the old way, so why should I change.
I should do some stitching, go in my safe wee bubble, away from all the nasties of the world except when I get a frog!
Lovely to see so much work done in here - so many beautiful things.
Kind wishes to all

It is indeed, it's the miniature version of Claire (I did the big one a few years ago).
It's coming along quick, shouldn't take too long to do.
How did it get to 9pm, only sat down 5 minutes ago..........0 -
Hi.
Back on track, router gave up on us so no internet it's amazing how you miss it when it's not there, didn't think I used so much!
Am catching up with all your lovely posts.
Titanic is amazing,a great achievement.
Love the little pin cushion it made me smile.
Congratulations on all your prizes
Nearly finished the leopard, can't believe it,it's been lurking in a cupboard for ages and it's not took as long as I thought.
Have a good weekend,it sounds as if it's going to be sunny.0 -
Sorry, I haven't posted in ages but I have been reading and keeping up with the progress on all the fantastic projects you're all working on.
I struggled to get going on 'Henry' as it is the first project I've worked on which uses so many colours over such small areas but I finally got into it using my own unconventional parking method lol and really started to enjoy it. However I got side-tracked by a smaller project, which is 1 of 4 that I want to stitch to put on the wall next to the stairs in my hall. I have finished the first one, will post a pic later, and am dying to get back to working on Henry but I also want to finish the other 3 in this set! Dilemma lol! I think I'll probably concentrate on the set or, knowing me, I'll probably never get around to finshing them. Hopefully wanting to get back to Henry will spur me on with them.
That sounds as though I have done a lot of Henry, which I haven't. I hope to have both projects finished by Xmas. In fact that is my challenge for myself lol!
Hope everyone is well.

mrsceejay. Looking forward to seeing the leopard finished.
ayeshalush. Nice to hear from you again. Don't stress about what to stitch. It's an enjoyable hobby not a job0 -
Hello all,
Not much stitching this week - stressful week at work (thank you for your kind wishes FOS) but I did get to frame my wee stitch for Clare at work for her wee baby she had last year, she is just back from maternity leave so I will be able to give to her personally.
Thank you for your kind wishes re: the competition - next year I will enter my twisted band into the cross stitch picture competition and I think I will take a couple of days off before hand to prepare for the baking instead of after work for the week before - think some of my baking were past good by time for competition.
Was embarrassed earlier this week - I gave my banana bread to the guy who sits beside me at work as I know its his favourite. He had a visitor in a couple of day later and he offered him a bit and it gone a wee bit furry - could of died of shame.
Need to work on a christmas piece for an exchange - doesn't have to be cross stitch so might do a wee pinflair christmas pudding and do them a wee pin cushion and needlecase to match (as wee extra:)).
Keep well everyone
