Hi All,

Not abandoned you all - been away on holiday - not much stitching done - other than a baby stitch for one of the girls at work - the one who liked the one I done for her second child, she wants me to do one for her first born. Will post picture when its complete.

Lovely work all, talking of books hubby got me the book thief for my birthday and he got me the DVD too.

    Kind wishes to all,

    sweetcarer ;)

Hi all, I've been reading as much as possible just not had time to reply, been super busy. Not much stitching on RF either, I seem to have lost interest in it a little, I'm sure its just the warm weather. I tried to crochet a sun hat which ended up being frogged, now I just keep starting something not liking it and pulling it apart again  Anyway here is my RF update from the past 2 weeks, theres a little bit of red now, I think its the confetti putting me off.

Go on tricksie be brave and give it a go - I have debated about adding that to my wishlist but I think it will be a challenging one to do.

I have now got the chart out of the cupboard and sorted the fabric and threads (including six skeins of black!!!) so will start it soon. Two more babies now on the way so more booties required. Bl**dy double pointed needles, it's like knitting and playing kerplunk simultaneously :D:D:D
I used to sneak a torch into my bedroom so I could carry on reading after "lights out". Of course I thought my parents didn't know :rotfl:

I used to do this too, oh if only we'd had kindles when we were small :(
Have started the Jardin Prive free sampler pattern called The Way to Happiness

This is the finished version in English and French

There are also versions in German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.

This is what I stitched last night while watching/listening to the Commonwealth Games.

Thanks mmp! From your sig line: please, where is the 'read your books challenge'? I'd like to join in. That's my major 'de-stash' focus!

there you go Elizabeth, trouble is other people post what they are reading and it makes you (well me anyway) want to look out for those books as well:rotfl:
i use this thread in tandem with the good reads .com website as i have most of my books listed on there and am trying to read 30 in 2014.

    Hi everyone,

Quick update from me before I get the dinner on.

Mrs ceejay - lovely finish on the lady. The big cat piece doesn't look like there's that much to do. Looking forward to seeing him finished too (no pressure lol)

fos - Way to Happiness sampler is gorgeous. I also love the grandchildren piece.

pm2326 - FACE! stitch his FACE!!!

Elizabeth - the Tudor lady is fantastic, lovely beadwork.

emslovesmickey - Christmas cupcakes look really good.

nmm - RF coming along nicely but I don't envy you the confetti stitching lol

sweetcarer - Hi!! Hope you've had a nice break.

I'll post an update of Daisy Girl in the next post. I'm onto the grass now having finished her hair - so I've swopped multiple beige for multiple greens :( Home strait now though as I want this finished before our holiday on 16th August.

    Take care all.

    Coxy

ha ha this made me laugh :rotfl:

You'll be pleased to know that I chose to do that page next :D

Its the biggest page of the remaining 3 so it'll feel like I've done lots more once its complete!
  • Love it Mrs Ceejay :T

This is gorgeous too fos. :T Looking forward to seeing it all framed up. Is it for yourself or a pressie - I wouldn't mind receiving it in my xmas stocking ;):D

Looking forward to seeing more updates fos. You have made a good start already. It looks good too in the other languages. :D

Stitched a little bit of Mill Hill Kit at Mum's this morning. Seem to be jumping in all directions with it - stitching little bits here and there and everywhere. Frustrating too as I have to leave the spaces for the beads and I keep thinking that I have missed some stitching. Coxy you would hate it as it's all over the show atm ;) Will post a pic once the stitching has been done but before the beads.

The rain has arrived here now. Had to make a dash and grab all the washing off the line as it was dry and ready for ironing.

    Thanks b e g

It's for me I've now made it into a cushion

The wording is particularly poignant as I spent a lovely day with the grandchildren on Monday and now won't see them for 5 weeks as they will be away. They will, have a great time and I will speak to them but I will still miss them

You can't really see it in the photo but the border and back of the cushion is brown with cream circles and both this and the cushion filer came from my stash :money:
