Elizabeth- welcome to the forum, your embroidering sounds interesting I look forward to seeing some pics
Beg- that tree is just lovely, are you keeping it for yourself? Good luck with your current project...that beading sounds.....fun *cough*:D
I wish I could give up my mags, but I just know as soon as I did there would be something I simply had to stitch (JE ladies for example!)
Bigbird, that piece is very sweet, I bet your mum will love it:T I frame some of my own things, I don't use sticky board but I do try and get frames with mounts and I use double sided tape round the edges to hold the fabric to the mount. That way if the stickiness affects the fabric, it's only behind the mount (and I will never know!)
Fos- the Jane Austen piece is lovely, very traditional look to it. I love reading as well, but only really get time to read once I'm in bed. My Daughter takes after me, I'm forever finding books stashed in the bathroom- she sneaks there to read at night and when she hears someone coming she pretends she has 'just been to the toilet...... she must think I'm daft :rotfl:
Mos- must be great stitching Santa in July...hopefully it makes you think cold thoughts :rotfl:
Annie- good luck with new York :T
I have completed Circe, will take pics once I get a chance to wash and iron her. Need to spend tomorrow getting organised for DDs birthday on Sat, once that's passed I will start Fairyland Dreams which my mum bought me for Christmas.
I used to sneak a torch into my bedroom so I could carry on reading after "lights out". Of course I thought my parents didn't know :rotfl:
I have finished my version of the LK sampler which you stitched first. Loved stitching it and it would have been done much faster but it was my work piece and I don't get many lunch breaks to stock in
Apologies that it hasn't yet been pressed.

Finished it at last, looks a lot better than I thought, enjoyed doing the petit points, even though it made my eyes go funny.
One more WIP to finish and then all my unfinished projects are done.yippee

This looks wonderful. No wonder you are pleased with it. Are you keeping it for yourself?0 -
Have started the Jardin Prive free sampler pattern called The Way to Happiness
This is the finished version in English and French

There are also versions in German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese.
This is what I stitched last night while watching/listening to the Commonwealth Games.

Looking forward to seeing more updates fos. You have made a good start already. It looks good too in the other languages.
Stitched a little bit of Mill Hill Kit at Mum's this morning. Seem to be jumping in all directions with it - stitching little bits here and there and everywhere. Frustrating too as I have to leave the spaces for the beads and I keep thinking that I have missed some stitching. Coxy you would hate it as it's all over the show atmWill post a pic once the stitching has been done but before the beads.
The rain has arrived here now. Had to make a dash and grab all the washing off the line as it was dry and ready for ironing.

Evening everyone
Lovely updates as usual.
Must admit I don't normally like samplers but some of the ones you have been doing lately look really good so I'm very tempted to add some to my ever increasing list
I'm back to work tomorrow so have been stitching all day trying to block it out.....managed to finish another page of Elvis2014-07-27 19.01.16 by pm2326, on Flickr
Need to decide whether to stitch his face now or finish the side piece...decisions decisions...
Hope everyone has a relaxing week x0 -

This is the one I have being doing for the last couple of years, and I am determined I am going to do it this year so wish me luck.
It's not a difficult pattern just lots of different thickness of threads, some have one thread and the dark brown has all six.
The araba lady is for me but i'am not sure what sort of frame or even what colour any ideas would be helpful.0 -
You have to finish him Mrs ceejay....he looks gorgeous already!0
