lovely updates everyone, havent seeen Elvis for a while, how is he coming along now?
.
Elvis is in the sulk
I've now run out of 2 colours! I should explain I placed a thread order at the end of June and they have yet to be delivered...they did email me to say there would be a delay but I'm really not happy now. Have emailed them this afternoon asking when I'm going to get them, just waiting for the reply now.
Unfortunately, I cant get DMC from any shops round here so I have to order them online, [STRIKE]may order the ones I've run out of from somewhere else [/STRIKE] I have just placed an order with sewandso for the ones I've run out of, so I can at least carry on stitching Elvis by Thursday.
It's very annoying seeing as I'm on holiday from work and this is the ideal time to get a lot of stitching done. Instead I ended up in the garden for 6 hours, and it wasn't to sunbathe!
Have done all the weeding, cut the hedge, cut back a massive bush (over 6ft high and nearly the same wide) and then put down 12 bags of bark chippings - only another 9 to go but my back began to scream at me and weirdly I have sore muscles in my bum cheeks now :rotfl::rotfl:
Stitching would have been so much easier !0 -

Finished this today, not sure the mount is the right colour but if I put another in,it won't match the other three I have done.the others are on flikre .what do you think girls?
Will try and finish the Arab girl this week before school hols start here and grandsons descend, nothing gets done otherwise.
Love the tooth fairy
I love this picture, it has been on my wishlist for a while now....do you mind me asking - is it difficult and how much backstitch is there?0 -
Hi
Pm2326,it's not very difficult,it is on aida and if I was to do it again I would have used evenweave. The only back stitch is round the eyes on the tail and round the tail, which looks worse than it is.
It all so has metallic gold thread which I hate using,it goes round the eyes and I am not happy with it.it never seems tidy to me.
It grows quickly, hardly any half stitches, which can only be a good thing so go ahead and put it on the list0 -
Peacock - I changed it slightly from the original (first pic) by adding metallic gold and electric blue
Tooth Fairy Pouch for DD (adapted from the free kit that came with one of this months magazines) she will be 7 this month and hasn't got any wobbly teeth yet, she is desperate for the fairies to visit her!
Baby picture - need to get it framed
Your version of the peacock is a big improvement
Tooth fairy pocket using a plastic hoop is inspired :T
Lovely baby sampler0 -
It's only been running for two months, it's just a facebook group so anyone can still join in.
June was the frame and July was the first face
Excuse the lack of washing and ironing for this one
I knew I would love this and I do - it will be stunning when finished.
I wouldn't wash a piece until it was finished - except where I have spilled or got marks on it.0 -

Ouch - hope that you can get back to Elvis tomorrow and relax a bit. Sewandso aren't the cheapest but their service is usually excellent so your threads should arrive0 -

I have lost my stitching mojo at the moment, think it's because my ME is playing up and stitching makes my arms ache and gives me awful pins and needles but the work you post here has inspired me to pick mine up again.
Louise, Mrs Ceejay, Annie, absolutely love all the pieces you have been working on and if you asked me to pick a favourite I couldn't as they are all beautiful.
In the vague hope that it might motivate me to carry on with Santa and the Mouse by HAED I will post a picture of where I am up to! :rotfl:
