Here is the Lizzie Kate design which I have adapted slightly changing "children" to "grandchildren"Let them be small by stitchyfeather, on Flickr
And here is the Jane Austen samplerJane Austen SAL by stitchyfeather, on Flickr
I've started a little design for a card / coaster on some linen I tea dyed at the weekend and want to finish that next but other things keep interfering with my stitching timeI can quite happily stitch while the football is on and just look up for the replays of the goals so last night was fine and the previous night hardly got anything done
These are both gorgeous fos :TMrs_ceejay wrote: »

Hi all. I've not been on for ages and it's taken me a week to catch up! So much beautiful stitching has been going on. I should have taken notes, but nmm BD particularly stood out, he looks amazing now he's finished. I loved the tractor scene too (JCS?) Sweetcarer your twisted band sampler looks more beautiful with every update, I'm very much looking forward to seeing it finished. Loving your samplers too fos I must do "let them be small" for myself. I know I've forgotten lots and apologies to anyone I've missed but all of your work is lovely.
As for me, not a lot of stitching has been done as life has been getting in the way far too much latelyI don't seem to get a chance to sit down til around 9pm most days and am exhausted by then. The cross stitch I'm doing for my Mum's birthday is now nearly 2 months overdue and only about half done
I need to get cracking.
Thanks to whoever posted the link to the "no more lost needles" page. I will order some as they look like they'll come in very handy when I get around to starting "kissing the face of God"You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Your 2 framed pieces look stunning - what a great job you have done with them.
Tea dyeing is very easy and very effective if you like the look of aged samplers etc. Works a treat on bright white linen or cotton which I find is a bit stark for most projects I like to stitch. I use the microwave and used tea bags (taken out before adding milk) :money:0 -
Without wanting to stir up the debate about Pinterest again  I thought I would mention that every image we post here has the Pinterest button so anyone can pin it their board. I thought that photos would be pinned on the MSE board but actually anyone can do it quickly and easily.
So for anything we don't want to share with the general public using our MSE Flickr group is probably the best option as that is restricted to members only0 -
