Hi,
No I grandson loved his Spider-Man so much he has taken it to bed with him!
A resounding success after all the trouble it caused!
Will now try to finish the peacock and get it framed, then my little Arab girl which was put to one side earlier in the year.0 -

That's great news though not surprising :j
I remember the peacock and Arab girl, both lovely pieces0 -
Hi everyone!
It occurred to me the other day that I hadn't had any email updates from this group in a while. Checked in on the forum and I've missed pages! Not sure what happened, but I've re-subscribed again.
So many amazing new updates.
The bee pillow is very cute.
Sweetcarer-I really do love that sampler.
I hope that people who have been having health problems are feeling better now. That sunstroke sounded terrible and to have the loo seat fall on your nose too..Ow!!!
I've still not done any cross stitch, although I am starting to feel inclined to now. Might pick up my LK cat lessons again soon.
Have been crocheting a scarf for hubby. It's using a stitch which gets used in the jumper I intend to start once the wool gets delivered. I'm making the scarf stripy-green and grey, so I'm getting practise with changing colours.
Been reading a fair amount. Alternating between kindle books and library books. I enjoyed reading The Time Travellers Wife-didn't realise it was that long ago, mind! I'm thinking I might get The Fault In Our Stars. It's £1.99 on kindle, I think. Has anyone else read it?
Better get some washing on-looks like it's brightening up a bit now.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
12/12/12 challenge-[STRIKE]Season's Greeting Newton's Law[/STRIKE] Christmas polar bear-finished on time!
Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Hello everyone,
Hope you are well.
Got another wee update for you all.
Band 9 of the twisted band sampler is complete - so now over halfway there- doubt if I will get it done for the competition I entered last year, of which I won best craft in show for my floral alphabet, so have to think which one to use of my other stitches I have.
Anyway here is band 9.
Here a close up
Also I forgot to show you my latest stitch for my wee stitch book - sheaf stitch - done two different ways.
Sheaf stitch
Away to make a wee cuppa and decide what next - should do some on my learning sampler but finding queen stitches difficult to do on 36hpi, so going to do a wee variation of them. I am taking away a wee birth sampler thing on holiday - going away soon - miss my stitching if I don't.
I put a wash out earlier - makes such a difference it going outside. Also, going to make some nice mushroom and sausage risotto for dinner and some lovely strawberries and cream - - nice wee Sunday dinner.
Keep well everyone,
sweetcarer:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Hi all, some lovely stitching going on, I really like the Red tree, hmm I can already tell that picture is going to be another great achievement and I like how you edited let them be small FOS
Look forward to hearing the final decision on that firescreen design!
Going into the second week of the summer hols here, been doing loads of family stuff but have managed to complete a peacock, tooth fairy holder for my DD and a new baby pic for a cousin. Current WIP is the Joan Elliot SAL, have completed the frame and the first face, will try and get some pics taken tomorrow if I can get round to washing and ironing things.
Hubby spotted this in my new magazine and has suggested it would be a good project....I'll just add it to my massive list then shall I :rotfl:

Hi great to "see" you again
LK designs are usually quite quick and easy to stitch so you Cat Lessons would be ideal to get you back into the XS groove.
I thought I recognised the title of The Fault in our Stars - it's been in the Kindle best seller lists for ages. I haven't read it though0 -

Beautiful work as always. Lovely to see how the colour change happens
Good luck with the show whatever you choose to enter.
Queen stitch on 36hpi would be challenging and I'm sure I couldn't manage it these days even with my magnifier. It is a stitch I like and remember using it on a Christmas tree design - it was used for the ornaments on the branches.
I am fanatical about getting washing dried outside and I find that the BBC Weather App is so accurate for the current day that I check that and then decide whether to hang out washing before I go work or not. This morning was very sunny but the app said rain later so I gave it a miss and it is already cloudy.....0 -

I suppose that list is your idea of not doing much XS :rotfl:
Would love the see the JE SAL
The HAED project is lovely (and I'm sure you spotted that they have 30% off until the end of today - just saying). It's great that your DH takes an interest. Mine does too and although sometimes I think I could do without his comments / suggestions on the whole I would rather that than someone who took no notice of my stitching.0
