    Lovely updates all.

Mrs Ceejay, I'm sure your grandson will love it, it amazes me how many colours make up a design sometimes :D

Annie, how you getting on with the gold plated needles and thumb pads?

BEG, good luck at SW tonight and pleased you got some stitching done.

My updates :) I really wanted to finish the sky on RF, but I had to get a birthday card done, grrr almost made it.

    Hello everyone

Its half way through the year and talking of halfway - I am just about halfway through my twisted band sampler - I have now completed part 8 - this part included sheaf stitches, diamond smyrna and elongated diamond smyrna stitches.

Here is the whole piece, so far

And I know you are looking for this photo - its close up

All this talk of reading, makes me realise I have not read for along time - I am a paper book reader - I love reading. A memory of my mum had of me as a child was wake me for school, come back to see if I was ready and there would be a book in one hand and a sock in the other.

    Hope all are well

nmm sky and card both look good.

ive shelved home for the mo as im stitching a cushion panel for my 'classes' teacher whos getting married in the summer hols, so i need to have it finished for next week!! ive done the wording and working on the cross stitch decoration bit need to sew it on a panel and decorate it with some ribbons as well.

    Hi ladies.

Mrsceejay. Spiderman looks great, I'm sure your Grandson will love it.

Mos. You lucky thing finding a firescreen for so little! I looked at one in the cs the other day but as it already had a cross stitched design in it, they wanted over £40 so I left it.
If I could get my hands on one I think I'd go for either a pattern design (like sweetcarers band sampler) or maybe a tree (like begs red tree)

Nmm. Nice RF progress and lovely birthday card too.

Sweetcarer. Nice progress, had to smile at the image you conjured up 'book in one hand, sock in the other' :)
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Yes I bought it when it was a daily deal. Also bought 'The Physic Garden' as the cover photo is a sampler! I normally just read freebies but sometimes something just catches my eye and I actually spend money on them.

Have added this to my wish list. Will be interested to know what you think when you have read it. Like you I mainly read freebies or "daily deal" books on my Kindle

I purchased a chart of the Man City crest to stitch. It was only when I downloaded it and looked at the skeins needed (43:eek: - and that's only 4 colours!) that I realised it's massive. Finished design size is 23 x 27.5 inches.

Really going to have to read the descriptions in future:rotfl:

Oops That will almost be big enough to be a banner at the match. Will have to look out for it when MOTD starts again :D
