    Hi ladies.

I'll admit now I originally started this post by saying 'It's been so long since I last posted I won't go over old ground and comment individually but I have been
reading everyday so can honestly say finishes are brilliant and wips are coming along nicely'......then I felt really lazy by saying that!

So here goes my mammoth catch up post...

JCS. Very nice pieces you picked up from the framer in May, I especially like the lady with the flowers. The birth sampler is adorable! Farmyard scene is lovely, really like it. Over The Top is coming along nicely, look forward to more updates on it.

Sweetcarer. Nice progress and the learning sampler, it's coming along great. Also the Twisted Band sampler is looking lovely.

Coxy. Christams Stockings looks great framed up, really nice! Reminds me, I must get the beads added to Santa and Snowman and get them framed.....I
know I know, they have been 'nearly done' for ages, just need finishing :D
Love the framed pieces you shared back in May, especially the house. Cute owl coaster! Daisy Girl is coming along nicely.

Louise. Your small finishes back in May were all lovely but I especially like the xmas tree, simple design but very effective. Look forward to updates on your JE
stitch along. Your most recent framed pieces are all great, have you padded out A Stitch in Time? looks slightly raised to me and I like the effect. The Unicorn saying made me smile, love it! :D

mos. The framed Wolves are lovely, no wonder your DD wanted them hung immediately. I like the Anne Lane garden design you stitched, thought I recognised
it from somewhere then realised I had stitched it too, quite a while ago now. Santa is coming along great.

Fos. Really like the round robin Daffodil piece, look forward to seeing it made into a cushion. The 'bee' piece is really cute!

Annie. How did you get on with the Thimble pads, any good? New York is coming along great.

beg. Red Tree is looking lovely, really like it.

pm2326. Elvis is coming along great.

Maria. Well done on finishing the little girl designs (sorry, I forget her proper name), didn't take long at all!

Mrsmp. Look forward to seeing a pic of Dictionary of Homes.

augustsmummy. Really look forward to seeing the Lilliput Cottage. Though you aren't looking forward to the bs it will be so worth it.

nmm. Czar is great all framed up but BD is stunning! You must be so pleased!

    Update time.

I think this is the last update I posted,
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=65374839&postcount=3865

and here's where I am today,

Not completely sure I have set my settings correctly on Flickr. If I have done something wrong and need to change it, please let me know! :)

Quick question.....Excuse my ignorance but I don't know who MrsMilkybarKid is on Flickr, is she from here? I am interested in the little badge type things she uses to park her threads. Does anyone know what they are so I can google and possibly buy some?
    Thanks

    It's looking very good :T

Suspect it will be a needle minder (also known as Needle Nannies), two magnets to go either side of your fabric which then keep it in place.

I'm building up a small collection, only thing is my scissors keep getting stuck to them too :rotfl:

In regards to my question earlier I have done some googling and think they might be magnetic needle minders/keepers? Though MrsMK seems to have quite a lot of threads parked and the ones I have seen only have small magnets, I can't imagine they could hold all those threads.....but I'm no expert :D

I think hubby has a roll of strip magnet in the garage I could use though wouldn't look very pretty but I could smarten it up with some ribbon.
I would still like to hear from anyone who knows what MrsMK is using please.

    Thanks

Thanks for RG comment. I know I keep saying it but I'm really enjoying it.

Thanks for the needle minder info too, we cross posted and looks like I might be right! :D

Hi Shelly - yes I am here! I lurk rather than post as my stitching really isn't very MSE, but I do add my pics to the MSE Flickr group. Yes they are needle minders which I get from the No More Lost Needles group on FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NoMoreLostNeedles/. I use them for holding my parked threads (as you've seen), they are very strong magnets so can hold quite a few at a time! I warn you, needle minders can be quite addictive - it is very hard to just have one :rotfl:.

Thanks for the info. Could you let me know their price ranges please? It's a closed group so I can't see their prices.
I think I know already what you mean about being addictive! There are so many cute ones it's hard to choose! :D

I completely agree with fos, your work is stunning!

    Thanks

Thanks Shelly! Prices are £2 - £3 each depending on size and postage is a £1 for up to 4 minders. Lisa, the group owner, is amazing and she has hundreds of designs to choose from and will go out of her way to find ones on a particular theme if you ask her. Her minders are incredibly popular and she has customers all over the world. Any more questions just ask :).
