    Hello everyone,

Its so hot - don't take to the heat too good (typical Scottish redhead, milk bottle skin), so been indoors and stitching away.

Wee updates for you, have completed another band of the twisted band - band 7 now complete.

    So here it is

and a wee close up (this band was just cross stitch)

I also did some more stitches for my stitches book

Loving all the works in here, you truly did an amazing job nmm, with your beautiful dreamer and Louise nice to see you back stitching, just shows you can frame just as well yourself if you get a good frame. Been saving up to get some frames for some of my work - then I will have to sit one day and get them done. I have bought some frames for older stitches that were saved from the fire but the frames look a bit done, so will wash the stitches and reframe them in newish. Sorry not mentioning others by name but you know who you are and everyone is such an inspiration for others.

Right off to get a cool drink (or do I have a wee cheeky ice cream) and decide what to do next - more on the learning sampler more like - on band 10 - just cross stitch.

    Keep well,

    sweetcarer ;)

I am doing so well these days- the only stash I have bought was a piece of fabric for the SAL.

I have completed the SAL, and the anniversary gift for my friend- he is coming to collect it on Mon. Since I was framing that I ended up framing a few other pieces as well, I will post pics tomorrow.

The Range is brilliant for frames, I'm so glad they opened a shop near us!

    Love all the photos

Are they ready made frames from The Range? Do they include glass?
  • Has anyone stitched or seen a chart for a christening which isn't too babyish? I've found one by Nia which is nice but doesn't scream Stitch Me :)

b-e-g - thanks for the welcome back, I hope you manage to find some stitchy time very soon xx

Thanks am - sadly still not managed any time to stitch and after seeing all the fab pics in the Cafe it's making me realise how much I am missing it (must be a couple of months now) and my fingers really are twitching. Unfortunately the time I am spending at home is being used up on chores and by the time I'm settling down at night I am too tired to concentrate. Anyway rant over :D.

Well done on all the fab finishes and wips - they are all truly amazing.

Another vote here for The Range and Ikea for frames - very reasonable especially the larger ones. I think I bought the frame for the Red Tree too soon as I don't think I have stitched any of it since I bought the frame - definitely jinksed it. :D

Hope you managed to get an ice cream sweetcarer. We have bought some of the Coffee Carte D'or (only bought it as it was half price) and I have promised myself some tomorrow night after SW weigh in - it will be either to celebrate or commiserate. ;)

Take care everyone and will pop back in through the week.

*Louise*, beautiful framed pieces, I love it when you can use a standard frame size they are so much cheaper than custom ones. I don't have ikea or the range anywhere close by, I have a dunelm mill about 12 miles away, but have never been.

Coxy, lovely update on daisy girl and what pretty colours on your crochet cushion, i assume its the attic24 pattern?

Sweetcarer, great updates as usual, the sprat's head corner would make a wonderful border.

I think in this weather ice cream is a must, any calories will just be sweated away ;) I've been given an old singer 347 sewing machine as i wanted to learn to make my own clothes, i think i have alot of learning to do before that will happen, so any advice appreciated.
