Sorry I'm about to be a grump- I've not had the best few days. Got the contraceptive implant replaced on Fri- 10 minutes of digging about in my arm to find the old one = painful and a lot of blood. Arm is bruised to heck :(

Gala day on SAT and a family birthday on Sun were both ruined by a relative being a completely selfish/nasty piece of work. I lost it by Sun and gave her a piece of my mind.

Tonight was topped off by one of my bosses just being blimmin awkward for no real reason- I had a big reply typed up to send then thought better of it and phoned one of the other bosses to complain- he was going to have a word for me. I'm a voluntary worker who puts in maximum effort and have the results to prove it, I don't need to be treated like a naughty schoolkid, I'm on the verge of packing it all in.

My poor husband has been very patient and listened to me but cant stop things going through my head- he is snoring blissfully now :rotfl:

Not had much free time but have almost completed the first part of my JE stitchalong and the anniversary piece I'm doing has to be completed and framed by next Monday...nothing like a deadline!

Louise poor you sounds like you are having a rough time. Hope things sort themselves out soon.

Nmm looking forward to seeing the framed BD.

Mos Santa and mouse are coming along nicely.

No updates from me as been busy last week with eldest son's birthday. Will finish work a week on Friday for the holidays and then away for a week. So in a couple of weeks time I should have masses of free time and I have to admit cross stitch is a top priority lol.

Louise hope things pick up for you soon and you start being aprechiated at work. your arm sounds really painful, i hope the brusies heal up soon and it doesnt affect your stitching. i think every family has one of those 'cuckoo's who take delight in pushing everyone elses buttons to wind them up. Hugs on all counts.

love the farm piece, it looks great.

santa is coming along very nicely mos, you can see him taking shape.

did a little more of the background area on the next home panel - working on home help at the mo 4th of the 9 panels

Oh louise didn't want to read and run, I hope today is better for you. We all have family members who ruin stuff, like this week my niece got the minion card I stitched for her, she loved it btw :D when they phoned to say hi and thanks, they ended up arguing between themselves and I was just listening on the other end of the phone :rotfl: This is why I chose to live in the middle of the country my family are up north and my OH's are down south ;) Have a big ((hug)) from me and get out in the sunshine, remember we are always here to vent to :)

Thanks ladies, I actually felt much better after offloading that and had a great sleep afterwards! :rotfl:

Trying to get all the housework and washing done before lunch so I can do a bit of stitching before going to help out at the school this afternoon.

Making smoothies with the kids tonight and got an essay to start when they are in bed- it's the final one for this course so can't put it off

hope you all have a great day xx

    Hello Girls,

On the computer for a wee quick look at work.

Louise - hugs - hope you are feeling easier. I was offered the implant but hear such horror about it. Families - who needs them - my sister was such a b*tch on fathers day to me - wouldn't let me be alone with my Da, felt she would miss something.

Thank you all for you comments regarding the stitch - here is my emails and her replies - so she doesn't seem to mind the colour change.

    From Me

I have been thinking of the stitch you want me to do for Ross. I can do it no problem but I have a wee problem – the pattern I used for Brodies I didn’t have the exact colours at the time I did it. Now come to do the one for Ross, I can’t find my notes on what colours I used but I have the colours they recommend – I have it somewhere written down safe but where – so do you still want me to go ahead with the slightly different colours.

I will be ordering materials for it soon as I am ordering other materials for other stitching, kill two birds with one stone, etc.

It should take me approx. 2-3 weeks to do. Just need his details as well so I can get it charted out.

    Hope this acceptable,

    From Her,

Many thanks again for doing this! I shall try to remember to get Rossy’s details for you, I’m sure I know but want to be certain!! Its such a nice keepsake

    From Me

Thank you, I will order the materials at weekend – just wanted to check you were ok with the colours – I don’t think they will be far off.

    From Her

I really appreciate you taking the time to do this.

So I think she is ok with it.

Well better get back to work.

    sweetcarer ;)

    hello ladies,
Sorry I have been AWOL for so long. Had a lot going on health wise here, so not felt able to partake much. Basically things have not gone to plan and I will need a very big operation in the coming months. It hit me hard (along with the death of a loved one), and I have struggled to come to terms with it.
But I have kept up with some of my stitching (though not as much as I would have liked!) though a kick up the bum to do some more would be good!

    So a stitchy update:
Not sure if anyone remembers me, but I was planning on stitching a Lilliput cottage for my MIL for her birthday, over a year ago... well it is not finished yet. :o But I have made quite good progress.
It was very slow going initially as I was working with a small hoop that I had to keep moving. Then I found a sewing frame lurking in a charity shop, with a piece of Aida and about 3 lines of stitching on it. It looked so lonely sat in the corner, I felt I had to rehome the poor thing, even my husband agreed it needed to go to a good home!
Best £4 I have ever spent, once on the frame I wizzed through most of the large areas. But I am now reaching the dreaded back stitch. I loathe that part so much, and even more so as this is the most complex I have ever seen! And I thought Humphreys corner were bad. I have to backstitch every roof tile and brick in great detail!

I have been watching the thread from afar over the last few weeks, but not up to date, so I shall go have a nosey at all your up dates, and get up to date with the new ways to post pictures.

Hope everyone is doing well, Happy stitching to one and all!
