*Louise*, I knew you'd be pleased about BDI ordered a bronze metallic frame with a dark grey aperture for him, I hope it looks ok. This is the frame, http://www.ezeframe.co.uk/Item/m0072030-20mm-bronze-metallic-picture-frame
I totally am....I will always remember his eyes
That frame looks great, and he will really stand out against the grey aperture :TCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Hi everyone
Hope everyone is well. I have a wee query and wonder if you can help.
Someone at work got this from me
They have approached me and asked can I do this for their other older son. Now I have lost the bit of paper that I had wrote down the thread colours for it - I had just used what I had at the time. I have looked at the colours the chart recommends and feel they are a bit off, so have looked through what I have and trying these - do you think they look ok or do I have to try again - please be honest with me.
Only done a wee bit to help with the comparison.
Thank you in anticipation of your help girls, really appreciate it.
Kind wishes,

Sweetcarer - combination looks good to me.
Just finished the farmyard scene0 -
Sweetcarer - I think the colours look fine together but they're not the same as you used last time (sorry to state the obvious). If you want colours that look good together then they are fine. Not sure but have you looked at 422 and 433.
JCS1- your farm scene looks lovely. You seem as if you have stitched this really quickly.
Not managed any stitching this weekend but had a lovely catch up with old friends?Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Sweetcarer, The colours look fine together, if you want to use the same colours as before can you get the original piece back from the lady and colour match?Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
RE: Signs of Stitching Addiction - I don't do 5, 7 or 12 although posting on here is a bit like 12. I would love to blog but that will have to wait until I have more time
I agree that food and stitching definitely don't mix - I even worry about drinks near my work.
Just thought it was a fun piece
nmm The frame you have chosen looks great and can't wait to see your final photos
sweetcarer the new shades of brown look quite different which is probably better than a close but not exact match especially if the 2 pieces will be hung together. I would tell the mother that you will be using different shades but the same pattern so that they look like companion pieces rather than identical
jcs Farmyard scene looks wonderful - so full of detail - it will be one of those pieces where you keep spotting new things to see What's next?0 -
Oh no
sorry for getting everyones hopes up, it was something else being delivered, but I have had a despatched email and they'll be here tomorrow :j To make up for my blunder
here is the first update for Remembrance Fields (RF from now on)

JCS1 your farmyard picture is absolutely beautiful and as Alisb says it does seem you have finished it really quickly.
NMM RF is going to be beautiful once finished and can't believe how much you have done already, you are all putting me to shame! :rotfl:
Here is my update for Santa and the Mouse, I am trying to stitch the colours I have threads for whilst waiting for my order to come through but it's not easy and all the counting makes me go googlie eyed!
Housework is up to date, dinner is in my thermal cook bag, DR's appt attended, eldest DD in shower, youngest DD taking a nap (17 and she needs a nap!) and both dogs fast asleep so nothing else for it but to have an have an hour or so of stitching

Think I broke the forum, it crashed as soon as I pressed submit :rotfl:
Long day at work, calves fed, cats fed, kittens fed, me fed, time to do some sewing.
Farmyard scene took about 2 months, next one I think will be quite quick. Started Over The Top for WW1 Centenary, there's about a dozen colours and the fabric is large pencil case size.
Have a good evening x0
