Thank you everyone for your lovely comments
With it being sunny today I managed to get him washed, dried and ironed, ready to be framed. I've been looking at custom frame prices and with the mount its around £20 so I will get it ordered next week and of course post a framed pic
Thinking of getting a proper frame for Czar at the same time, well its the same postage cost so its moneysaving :money:
My next project is Remembrance Fields, then I'm going to take on Dreams Of Atlantis, just need to order some fabric. Going to do DOA on 25ct or 22ct 1 over 1, wish me luck :rotfl:
Remembrance Fields
Dreams of Atlantis
Both stunning designs and the Remembrance one is so appropriate to 20140 -
nmm - well done on finishing BD its lovely. Looking forward to seejng him framed. Love Field of Remembrance very appropriate for this year. DoA is a massive project I havd to say I don't envy for this one, but it is stunning.
I've got quite a few pictures of completed pieces to post, will try to do it this week. I've started my MILs 80th birthday present, its a Westie on 18 count and seems to be at least 100 shades of white! To say its slow going doesn't um it up. Never mind havd until beginning of August.
Have ordered shipping forecast blackwork design to stitch for hubbys 50th at beginning of July. It hasn't arrived yet and can only dtitch it when he's not here, so some late nights heading my way.
Hope dveryone has had a good weekend. Off to bed now.
Good luck with all the shades of white
I think I've seen the shipping forecast blackwork design and it's brilliant
Is it this one?0 -
FOS -yes it's that one but still not arrived. Doubt I'll get it finished in time. I've wanted to stitch it for ages but decided that hubbys 50th is a good time. He always used to listen to the shipping forecast so he should appreciate it.
Had a mjgraine today so no stitching for me so far but might try a few stitches now and see how I go.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Thanks FOS, just started RF when I noticed a bit of like fluff woven into the aida so had to restart and move it along a few stitches, it wont be seen when framed
Totally agree Mrs MP, grey would be more appropriate :rotfl:
Alisb, hope your migraine goes soon, take care.
EDIT: I hate IE11, clickable smilies don't work and it always does 2 lines when I click enter :mad:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

Ooh - I've got this kit in my stash - but I remember trying to stitch it years ago and finding out that the two (photocopied) pages of the pattern that had been included didn't match up so there were areas of the pattern missing! Not so important for the blackwork as I undrestand it - I think you just fill in the area that you've marked out with the cross stitch - but it was parts of the cross stitch border that weren't on the pattern! I think I could have worked it out from the picture on the cover as it's so clear but I think I gave up in disgust and put it back in the cupboard. Maybe I should contact the manufacturer / designer and see whether they'd replace the pattern?0 -

I hope they've improved since you had yours! I'll let you know if it ever arrives. Have to say I think I'm being a bit impatient, its only 10 days since I ordred it. I think of become used to getting things within 48 hours.
Warning reading on may cost you money
I had an email yesterday to join Hobbycrafts club and for doing so I received a code for 20% off on line (it reads as if this is an individual code but not sure). Any way I checked the website for cross stitch, after all if would have been rude not to, and they have loads of kits half price. They have a couple of Bothy Thread Cut Thrus. I know they're not the cheapest to start with but at half price they are coming out cheaper than eleswhere.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

NMM - BD is stunning and I love the rememberance design. When you stitch the Atlantis piece will you use one strand over one square? I have a HAED to do of Alice In Wonderland and have no idea how to do it really!
I was going to try and sit in the sun and stitch today as my Dr confirmed I am low in vitamin D (don't really fancy rickets!), but it is so hot outside already! That's the trouble with ME, leaves you inside most of the time when it flairs up, still it could be worse.
I have ordered £22 worth of threads this morning so I can carry on with my free HAED Christmas design. I have boxes full of threads but why is it, you never have the one's you need......Hubbie will be pleased....NOT! :rotfl:0 -
Good Morning Girls,
Thought I would let you know I have another band completed in the twisted band - 6 done - so approx ⅓ done.
This band contained diamond 4 sided stitches, sprat's head corner stitches, norwich stitches and ray stitches.
Band six
And for the close up
I think I will continue showing you my updates, despite the pintrest thing. Hope everyone is well, will be getting ready to go to the hospital in a bit and then home to more stitching
Keep well everyone
