I hope they've improved since you had yours! I'll let you know if it ever arrives. Have to say I think I'm being a bit impatient, its only 10 days since I ordred it. I think of become used to getting things within 48 hours.

Warning reading on may cost you money :)

I had an email yesterday to join Hobbycrafts club and for doing so I received a code for 20% off on line (it reads as if this is an individual code but not sure). Any way I checked the website for cross stitch, after all if would have been rude not to, and they have loads of kits half price. They have a couple of Bothy Thread Cut Thrus. I know they're not the cheapest to start with but at half price they are coming out cheaper than eleswhere.

Thanks for this - I had a look and am feeling very virtuous because I didn't buy anything :money: Not least because I recognised far too many of the designs I like as being already in my stash  - and a couple of them as having been stitched :D
  • sweetcarer Beautiful progress.

I've been looking at the MSE board on Pinterest most days and the only pin from this cafe that I have seen is a piece I don't recognise

Most of the pins are from the forum threads which show project ideas and instructions so IMHO are intended to be shared

I finally pressed and then photographed my latest finish - it's only small but I really enjoyed stitching it

    Hi everyone,

sweetcarer - lovely progress, and yet more stitches for your little book.

fos - love the finished 'bee' design.

Not done much on Daisy Girl this week. I went to knit and natter yesterday and we have been working on knitting 100 poppies for the centenary which will have brooch backs attached and sold for help for heroes. I offered to sew on the backs and have managed 92 - someone in the group is still knitting the final 8 poppies. Sorry for being off topic.

I picked up the silver anniversary framed piece today - will take a pic and post at the end of September as that's when it's for ;-) I'm really happy with the framing service, but have decided to purchase a custom frame for my garden medley. It's quoting £18 online (just frame and glass - no mount needed). Will see how it turns out and if possible will go down that route with my own non-gift pieces.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the hot weather (well it's very hot in Kent!). Take care all.

Hi all - haven't been about too much, everything has been hectic but we are 3 weeks away from the summer hols so I can fee some serious stitchy time coming on!

My current projects are an anniversary piece I am making for a friend as a surprise for his wife and the 'Faces of Joan Elliot' Stitchalong which has started on Facebook. The frame was released at the sart of June so I have almost finished that. Stitching both pieces on evenweave.

nmm - I'm so glad I looked back and saw your BD completed!! Absolutely stunning, it's going to look amazing framed :D Thanks fr the frames link, I dread to think what it would cost to get all my completed pieces framed! I keep meaning to get one done every month but there's always loads of other stuff to pay for.

Coxy - Daisy girl is looking lovely, I really like the blue shades used

Sweetcarer - Twisted band is looking great, lovely summery colours being used there :) I really like thse diamond stitches, they would make a lovely border for something.

FOS - Love the Bee design, such a perfect choice of fabric!

Catching up - love all the update pics but especially the completed Beautiful Dreamer - absolutely gorgeous :T

Should hopefully finish the farmyard scene this weekend, still not sure whether to post pictures or not (MSE not responded to more recent comments, not even when copied to forum feedback section).

Hope this beautiful weather remains over the weekend.

FOS - love the bee design and fabric is great. The signs of stitching addiction applies to me in 12 out of 13. I'll let you guess which I dont do :)

Sweetcarer - lovely progress on bands I really love this design. Can you remind us who the designer is please.

Louise - hope you get time for some stitching shortly.

I'm still plodding on with the Westie for MILs birthday. Shipping Foresact still not arrived. Not sure if I'll get any stitching done this weekend as going to friends for the weekend. Have a good time everyome.

MOS, for Atlantis I am going to try 1 over 1 to save thread, I've seen lots of HAED projects like this and they all look fine.

*Louise*, I knew you'd be pleased about BD :D I ordered a bronze metallic frame with a dark grey aperture for him, I hope it looks ok. This is the frame, http://www.ezeframe.co.uk/Item/m0072030-20mm-bronze-metallic-picture-frame

FOS, only 3 signs don't apply to me, numbers 5, 11 & 12. Honestly I don't think stitching and food would work well together :rotfl:

Hi everyone! Sorry I've not had much to say recently. Just popped in to tell you that Bothy Threads have brought out some mini cut thru designs. They're quite cute-not that cheap, mind. Around £18 each.

LOVE the completed BD design! Have enjoyed seeing him come to life and I look forward to seeing what he looks like all framed up.

    Have a great weekend!
