nmm - only one word for them and that's stunning. You've made a great job of framing them.

    morning all
BD and czar look stunning in their frames. you must be so pleased with the results of all your hard work nmm

did a couple of hours stitching last night and an hours unpicking this morning - i missed a row of 3 stittches out on part of the background so when i moved across it wouldnt match up with that part of the pattern it took me ages to see where id made the mistake.

got a nice email to make up for my annoyance when i put the puter on, id won a comp in cross stitch crazy so theyve sent me 3 charts dragon heart, tribal tiger and round robin, they all look lovely so ive printed them of. think i like the tiger one best so that might get done first.

ive told myself i can stitch this morning until im back where i was then im going to do some cleaning.

    hope all are well

Hmm how many times have we all said that! I'll just finish this bit and I'll crack on with the ironing/cleaning/cooking.... Four hours later.... oops :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Back at work this week and feeling a bit weary. Haven't stitched for two days which is pretty unheard of for me. Should manage some tonight and on Thursday evening I have craft club for two hours :)

Only found out about it recently and went last week for the first time. It's five minutes from home and been going for about eight years so really looking forward to making new like-minded friends.

Thank you ladies, they are hung right in front of the sofa so I get to look at them everyday :D By sheer fluke BD is the same height as my African Lions so they are next to each other and czar is round the corner on a smaller wall, I have a cross stitch corner :rotfl:

"The only place that stitching comes after housework is the dictionary"

One of our cafe mottos I reckon:D
  • nmm You have done an amazing job on the framing which really does justice to all your hard work. How brilliant that BD matches your African Lions in size. You have a cross stitch gallery not a corner :D

tricksie How wonderful to have found a craft club - there is nothing quite like stitching in the company of like minded people

mrsmp congratulations on your latest competition win Each time I enter the magazine comps I vow I will do it each month but I don't always manage it. And I have won a couple of prizes over the years so I know it's worthwhile. Can you share a link to show us what you won? You know how nosy we all are (or is that just me?)

Of course I feel your pain about the wasted stitching effort - we've all done it and it's SOOOO annoying

augustmummy Great to see you back in the Cafe

Sorry to hear about your need for an operation and your loss.

I've never stitched a Lilliput Lane but I can see that there would be a lot of backstitch needed I'm sure it will be worthwhile. Have you taken a "before" photo which you can compare with "after BS"? Someone did that with a Margaret Sherry design (was it nmm?) and it really showed the difference

sweetcarer Good result and isn't it great that your original piece is so appreciated that they want another

louise Ouch - sounds awful. Hope it isn't as sore today

mrsmp is spot on about how many families have someone who seems to delight in spoiling things for everyone else. At my last stitching group we spent a couple of hours swapping horror stories relating to bad experiences linked to Father's Day

Glad that venting on here helped you get a better night's sleep

Hope we get some pics of your latest works

maisiem Of course cross stitch should be one of your priorities for your time off :D

jcs I thought your choice of Over the Top was so appropriate and am looking forward to seeing your progress pics

mos Hope your threads arrive soon so that you can stitch the colour you want when you want. |What you've done looks great
