morning all
hope everyone had a good weekend
managed to finish the stitching part of the little watbo, got to sew it together and stuff it now
welcome annie and any other new stitchers, all i can suggest is a brak when it happens to wash hands maybe in cooler water it could be as the needle warms up and gets slippy or just the naturally occuring iols in your skin that cause it.
love all the update photos the birth sampler and the wedding sampler are just beautiful
fos love you bee update and also your daffodil piece it will amke a lovely cushion

Morning everyone,
sweetcarer - lovely update on the twisted band sampler. The wedding sampler is gorgeous and looks lovely framed up.
JCS1 - the birth sampler is fab. Was that from the Historical Sampler Company? I have a Christmas one that's similar, but I'm not stitching anything Christmassy until I've done some regular stash!
nmm - BD - last page!!! What a labour of love it's been. Can't wait to see the finished piece.
fos - great update on your bee piece. I think the narcissus design will look fantastic as a cushion.
I started the freebie owl design from CSC last night. It came as a card kit, but I will make it into a coaster. The colours are lovely and it will go in our bedroom for my morning cuppa. Still plodding on with Daisy Girl, it's stitching up quicker than I imagined, probably due to 14 ct aida which is easier to use.
Very wet here in Kent today. DD has a haircut booked for lunchtime, and I plan to go to the charity shop. Other than that, it's a quiet/stitchy day ;-)
Have a good one.

nmm Going to miss your updates when BD is finished - looks stunning
jcs Birth sampler is wonderful The birth date is the same as the wedding date on my heart sampler (which is also by Historical Sampler Company) - coincidenceYou obviously have a very good framer
pm Hope you manage to get some stitching done this evening. I'm not expecting to do much on my pieces as The Happy Valley is on TV and that is one of the very few programmes where I put down my stitching so that I don't miss anything
annie I haven't had that problem with my needle - must be very annoying. I think I would try wiping the needle with a baby wipe
mrsmp Looking forward to seeing your watbo made up
coxy I found some yellow fabric in my stash that I think will be good for the cushion back once I finish the border. Of course in looking for it I found lots of things I want to do ........
What a good idea to use the owl design for a coaster. I don't stitch many XS cards as I won't give them to folks who will just throw them out. But I really liked this patchwork owl design and there is still room in the house for more coasters

Sorry I haven't managed to read all the recent posts properly but I just had to pop in to say well done everyone on all the lovely work - there really are some gorgeous pieces of work in there.
I took a photo of The Red Tree this morning just so that I could show you I have made a little bit of progress.
Picked up a frame for it at Ikea this morning for it - nothing like getting prepared.
Catch up with you all soon.

Loving all the updates,
FOS I absolutely love the daffodil piece you are making into a cushion and love bumble bees so can't wait to see more of that one
NMM isn't it lovely to finally be on the last page! Really looking forward to seeing BD when you have finished it. Do you find they look better when you stand back from it? With HN, I didn't really notice it taking shape and it was only when I got up and walked away that I noticed how good it was looking.
I decided to start an Anne Lane Xstitch piece that my Dad bought me in 2010, I am not overly keen on it but it is coming together quite quickly, here is an update

MOS, I totally agree with your comment on stepping back to see it, when stitching all I see is pinks, greens, greys, etc it looks so much better in the photos. I can't wait to have it up on the wall
Lovely update on your garden stitch.
Beg, red tree is coming along great.
Annie, nice update on new York, re your needles have you tried gold plated ones? They are only cheap on ebay like £1 for 10, the gold comes off eventually but who cares at that priceI bought this mix & match set clicky maybe better deals but I was too lazy to look :rotfl:
