Lovely to see you posting and stitching Louise. Great pic as usual. Was going to pick my favourite but it was too difficult - they are all lovely.

  • Beautiful updates everyone, love the Ikea frame so going to pop in today and see if I can find a nice one for Happy Nappers :D

I decided to start a 'quick' birthday card for my step dad's girlfriend last night and knew that 10.30pm was late to be starting but I am sure you all know about the 'stitching urge'..........well, I wish I hadn't bothered as I misread where the centre was and now have to either unpick it (having stitched half) or go to my lovely stash and find another piece the same size and start again!

Going to go food shopping and to Ikea first, too annoyed to start again at the moment!
  • So......... Popped into Ikea and picked up a lovely frame, not an exact fit for the picture but I can't afford to send it to the framers at the moment. Here it is though and DD is so pleased with it, she wants DH to put it on her wall to tonight :D

Sorry the link wasn't working last night. The site is https://www.sewitall.com and is definitely worth a look if you ever need fabric. If you've ever been to any of the stitching shows you may recognise them - they used to have bright yellow carrier bags and lots of people bought from them.

Louise Lovely to see you popping in and that you have been doing some xs. Most people would consider your output to be tremendous but perhaps it isn't as much as you usually do :D
I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry about the remark about the unicorn. Love all of the designs but my favourite is probably the Christmas tree - simple but so effective especially on that colour fabric.

mos Oh no - what a waste of good stitching time. I'm sure it's something we've all done at least once. I suppose you can't leave out some of the design so that it will fit?

The frame looks lovely and I understand why it has to be hung immediately

Spotted this and it made me smile so am sharing it

    Hi all,

*Louise* - love your latest finishes. I too laughed about the unicorn comment. Please tell me she is not in a frontline/decision making role - dear God........

mos - frame looks really good :-)))

I have just taken a few snaps of past projects. Will upload via eyepad in the next post as laptop and photobucket have fallen out bigtime.

Been stitching Daisy Girl the past two days. Going okay so far.

    Have a great evening all.

    Hello girls,

Hope you are all well - I haven't been too good - think I have a bug - had to leave work early yesterday - have bought a new deodrant (a compressed version of what I am used to) and come out in an awful rash which is making me feel quite ill and I am in quite a bit of pain.

Will do some comments, then my up dates.

I have used them myself in past, only place I could find 36hpi evenweave - I am not so keen on linen, don't like its unevenness. I have spoke to them in the phone too, there website does play up from time to time I have noticed. Wish I looked at their website better before starting Mums stitch - the wee heart one would of been good for the the twisted band but I think plain white works well too. I remember the yellow bags at the shows - was when the shows were good - not been for a few years - one as I don't like going on my own (was making me sad) and two they don't do much stitching stuff - last one I went was all card making stuff.

Not got a holiday on Monday, one of the few bank holidays I don't get.

Went to ikea this morning with DS2 as his school is shut for polling. Wanted to get DD her wardrobe but the packs were too heavy to lift :( Did pick up a £4 frame for the stockings though so not a completely wasted journey :rotfl:

Really need to take a drive out to Ikea one day and spend a fortune in frames - seen alot of nice ones on their website - an think of a few things I need framed.

I really like this - still trying to work out what metallic thread to use when I come to stitch the dedication to mum at bottom of the twisted band - it will be gold but don't know what one to use.

So whats been going on in my world, I have now completed another band in my twisted band - band 5 - this was all cross stitch.

    Band five

and a wee close up for you

Taking a wee break between my samplers to do a wee wedding stitch for one of the girls at work. People may wonder why, when some at work are not good to me - why, it because I am me and I like to.

Need to get my shopping list sorted ready for going out later - sit down and work out where is all cheaper for things - best bargain so far is £2 for 3 bags of sugar.

    Keep well everyone

I have another friend who has requested a stitched piece, so that will get me moving in something bigger

He has asked me to make something for his anniversary next month, incorporating wine red/ white and some words from their wedding song. :)
