oh thats just made me laugh out loud, thank you JCS

    morning all

not managed any stitching as im knitting dolls clothes for my nieces birthday, you know the you have to stitch faster when you think you havent got enough thread in the colour youre working with. its the same with knitting. ive done the back and almost all the front with no chance of any sleeves, but im praying the wool will at least get the front complete and i can live with contrast sleeves. any less and it will not be any good.

    love the update photos
MrsCJ your poppy and advent stitches are lovely, i really like the colour of the fabric youve chosen for the advent and i always love poppies
nmm kitty card looks lovely im sure your colleague will be delighted with it. that is definitely a frame and keep piece.
JCS love both your framed pictures, i remember admiring the young lady with flowers while you were stitching her, cant recall seeing the staffs one before.
sweetcarer, your band and stitch book is coming along beautifully, i love seeing all the different stitching you are doing.

was raining when i woke up but sky is clearing now

    have a good day all

Just another flying visit I'm afraid - where does the time go?

    Great pics everyone.

    Love the quote JCS1.

It must be a week since my stitching has been out. Busy through the day and by the time evening comes just too tired. Must make more of an effort this week.

    Take care everyone

Just popped in to see how you are all getting on, some lovely progress and completion pics :T

Not done much myself- between appointments voluntary work and coursework I have just managed to get a couple of small pieces done but they seem to have taken forever.

I haven't bought any stash and no mag designs have caught my eye lately.....I even have £60 birthday money and no charts that I'm eager to buy

    Oh well....:money::rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

Some lovely pics. Will do a proper catch up after the school run. In the meantime, I've finished Garden Medley:

    "]image-43.jpg

Will need professionally framing due to its odd size. Back to Daisy Girls tonight :D

Right, I'm back and the dinner is on!

mrs m-p - I finished The Book Thief on Sunday. Loved every page of it :-)) Now reading The Fault in Our Stars on the recommendation of my 12 yo DD. Hankies on standby.

*BigBird* - Hope you are doing okay. Love Grandmas House.

mos - Happy Nappers is amazing.

Mrs ceejay - advent coming along nicely (glad I'm not the only saddo planning early this year!) Poppy design is fab too.

shelly - hope the antibiotics are working and SE are wearing off.

nmm - floral cat looks lovely mounted up. Hope the recipient is on the mend.

JCS1 - farmyard scene looks wonderful. Your framed pieces are lovely too. Laughed very loudly at the facebook post.

sweetcarer - amazing work as ever. Hope you are okay.

*Louise* - nice to 'see' you. Hope you are okay too.

Right that's me caught up. It's forecast to rain and DD wants to go running around the park (which she can't do alone as she's only 12). Must find the brolly.

    Have a good evening all

Does everyone prefer stitching aida or evenweave? I've only ever used aida but fallen in love with a picture on evenweave and would love to try it but a bit nervous - fear of the unknown I guess!

When I first started stitching I used aida, then like you I saw akit I wanted to do,so tried it in evenweave and loved it.
It just seems to make the stitches go more smoothly and the design more lifelike.I use it the most but some projects are done on aida, like the dinosaurs I did for my grandsons,it grows quicker I think.
Have a go,take your time and it will work out fine.
