  • I see what you mean. With so few colours stutched it won't be easy to see where you are on the chart. Good luck!

I have grabbed myself a strong coffee and am going to spend a little bit of time in the sunshine trying to work out where I am, well sunshine and coffee have got to help haven't they? :D

Thanks for the help as you can tell i'am not very technical, will try again.

    Moments of sanity
How frustrating,I know how you feel,I got lost on one of mine,in the end I went freelance, only me and you know that,it turned out quite well and when I look at it now,I can't believe I got myself in such a mess.
    Don't give up,you'll sort it
    Tricksie
Love it ,it strikes a cord with us all I think x

Freelance, now I like that term. Going to have another look at it now but won't worry about it too much as you have given me the confidence to just 'go with it' :D

JCS1 - the calves are lovely, so cute.

sweetcarer - lovely work on your twisted band sampler

emslovesmickey - your photo stitch looks fab!

Coxy11 - well done to you all on completing the walk, hope you are all nearly recovered now.

BigBird - your grandma sampler is lovely

mos - Happy Nappers is gorgeous.

mrs ceejay - advent sampler is coming on a treat. I love the colours.

fos - your Christmas tree is stunning!!

I've got a little more of Henry done but not a lot,so not worth posting an update photo yet. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment!!

My plan for the weekend is to make cards all day Sat and Sun (I, hopefully, have my first craft fair coming up in June so need to get my stock built up) and then stitching all evening. Hopefully I'll have done enough to warrant a photo on Sunday evening. Will need to fit in a little washing and dog walking too.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

This is going into a birthday card.
I think I've got it,this was to see if I could do it again.
Don't laugh girls,i'am dead chuffed,as I say I am not tech-minded so even a child of two is better than me but I keep trying!

    Hi ladies.

Big catch up time so apologies in advance :o

Coxy. Really like the Gardening Medley you are doing next, the buttons are so cute! Is there a bean, dragonfly and a rook/crow? Look forward to progress pics.
Very nice Silver Anni design too.
Also like the Daisy Girl WIP. I have had the same thing as you with my Rose Garden, the colours in the pic are quite different shades than those in real life, it's like they took the packet pic with the flash on on a sunny day!

beg. Really like the framed sheep pic. Red tree is looking great, can't wait to see more.

    Annie. Nice progress pic.

Sweetcarer. Lovely progress on band sampler, really like it.

fos. Lovely ladies, they deserve to be on display somewhere. Nice progress on LTBS.

JCS. Nice update, can see it coming to life.

nmm. Floral cat is very cute. Even after all this time stitching I'm still amazed at how backstitch can completely change a design and make it make sense......if that makes sense? :D
    Nice BD update.

Mrsmp. Cute tooth bag and I love your biscornu (?)

pm2326. Nice Elvis progress, he's coming along great.

ems. Nice photo stitch update, coming along nicely.

    Bigbird. Lovely Grandmas House design.

MOS. Very nice Happy Nappers finish!

Mrsceejay. Nice Advent progress, coming along great.

No stitching at all done this week for me :(
Went to docs on monday and came home with anti-biotics. Started them straightaway monday morning and by monday tea time I was already getting side effects! I thought side effects (se from now on) took a few days....though I don't have se very often from meds so maybe I was naive. Anyway, of the few se's I was having one of them was 'confusion' and I just couldn't concentrate on even playing games on pc so I knew trying to stitch was out of the question. Only took them for 3 days but even on thurs the se's hadn't worn off. Thought by friday things would get better but I woke up absolutely full of cold!!
So my nose is running like a tap and if my eyes water anymore I think they might float away! :rotfl:

As I got up at stupid oclock this morning I thought I'd do my catch up post.
Hope I didn't miss anyone and apologies if I did.

    shelly x

She keeps going on about unicorns, lol I think i'll have to read her facebook and see what she's into but any ideas gratefully accepted :D

    Evening all,

New girl calf arrived, so not much stitching done.

    Hi Girls,

Hope you are all well as you can be.

Done another two stitches for my wee book courtesy of the twisted band sampler teaching me them.

    Scallop Stitch

    100_1322_zps16300bf0.jpg

    Ray Stitch

    100_1323_zps7275ade1.jpg

I love the effect they gave to the twisted band sampler - wee reminder

    109_1312_zpsbeff785f.jpg

The scallop stitch is out the outer edges and the ray stitches are in the middle where they meet.

I have also been plodding on with the learning sampler and thought I gone wrong, so took a photo, put it up in the learning sampler facebook page and the designer got back in touch within an hour with a reply and a picture of her part - and was very reassuring - hooray for her!

    Here is the said part

    109_1319_zpsda6869df.jpg

It contains algerian eyes, double herringbone and lattice stitch. Will do these for my wee book once I have finished the band.

That way is called "in the well" the same as hoops I guess? I've never tried it like that, may give it a go on my last page of BD when I get there.

I have always used the in the well method for a long time - think someone in the cafe recommended it for keeping work clean (for the most part) when holding it - you are only holding the back of it. I also find it easier for starting a stitch and ending a stitch with - easier to tuck.

Well onto to make some veggie lasange - we are not veggie but we enjoy this one.

    Keep well everyone

    sweetcarer ;)
