Thanks guys, its for my mums 60th on Monday, I've sent the card up to her with the Mackintosh roses I did last year and ordered some real flowers to be delivered too :T Very mse on the flowers, I got them from eflorist via quidco, got 16% cashback plus 10% off and it was free delivery on the ones I chose :money:

JCS1 - thanks for tempting me with the link for ilovecrossstitch. I did succumb and have a little peep, found a book I quite liked the look of and then discovered it was unavailable so I decided that I wasn't meant to have it. I did start to look around on the www for it but I quickly came to my senses as I don't really need it as I have loads of charts etc that haven't seen the light of day. :D

nmm - love Mum's card and the actual card goes so well with the design of the cross stitch as sometimes I think they can look a little strange but they have come up trumps on this one. :T

Finished poppy card tonight and will post a little pic when I get around to making it up.

Still feels really close and oppressive here tonight. We had just a little rumble of thunder yesterday morning and about half a dozen splashes of rain and that's about it. Looks as though its going to be yet another restless night :(.

Just noticed the downtime on the forum over the weekend. We will all have to get stuck into our stitching and have loads of pics so show when things get back up and running.

    Take care everyone

  • Hi Everyone

I've been lurking for a while on this thread, but since i have loads of projects on the go and i can't post them on my fb thread for fear of the recipient seeing them can i join please?

I haven't been doing cross stitch for long, but have done a couple of projects so far, including a tooth fairy cushion, a couple of freebies from mags, a doctor who sampler, and a keep calm and have a cuppa poster. At the moment i'm doing one of the Gorjuss cross stitches (the foxes) for my best friends birthday next year.

Thanks for all your comments re appointments at the doctors. Interesting to see how it varies but annoying a long wait for an appointment seems to be a common theme.

No stitching managed so far this week. Must find a really small project to do as work is so busy, all I want to do when I get home is fall asleep!!

JCS - wow Rosa is beautiful she will look fantastic finished. Can't wait too see it.

Nmm - love the card so pretty. Hope your mum had a good birthday.

well no stitching done this week for me but I am determined to start this weekend. I have been procrastinating and have been messing about with my kindle instead as a diversion from what I should be doing. The cooler weather seems to be in for a while now so a few nights snuggled up on the sofa with my xstitch are in order I think. Dad's back from his hols in two weeks so I am making that my new deadline. If DS2 goes for a sleep today will yank it out and get started.
