Coxy11 - love the french shop it is so quintessentially french and feels like you could just be there. The Santa Clothes is fantastic and my kids would love that one.

Sweetcarer - glad you had a nice holiday. Your final Sandy Hook square is gorgeous, such beautiful bright colours for the school.

beg - ooh you finished -well done. I know what you mean about it driving you gaga. It is gorgeous and has inspired me to get mine finished.

Mrs MP - sounds like you had a lovely weekend and how nice of DD to do your garden and make a cake for you.

Well haven't managed to get my stitching mojo back yet for my bigger projects, so I did a small xmas card over the last couple of nights just to get me back into the swing. Think its the weather as I am too hot and my brain feels scrambled by night time. Having seen Beg's finished let's do Wine I am determined to pick mine up and start getting it finished off this evening.

Well I managed the grand sum of 13 stitches over the weekend! :rotfl:But I've started it now !! so hopefully I will stitck with it and make some progress although it looks like it is going to be an awkward project to stitch with lots of colour changes....

so a bit of an off topic question now (well actually very off topic) I hope this is ok - but we are such a lovely lot on here, i don't know where else to put it !!

Out of interest, if you phone to make a routine doctor's appointment, how long do you have to wait for an appointment? I'm a bit annoyed because I phoned to book an appointment for my OH and it will be 2 weeks before he can be seen unless we phone same day and ask for an emergency appointment (which it isn't). How can this be right? Why can't they offer a system whereby if it isn't an emergency and it isn't a routine check up appointment, you get seen within 3 working days?

At our Doctors surgery it is the same system. I don't see how they would handle a three tier system! Have just got used to this system. All I can say is if you know you need an appointment start thinking ahead!

On a stitchy note well done you, 13 stitches is more than I have managed lately. Although when decluttering my wardrobe I found my threads for a WIP that I was looking for. So maybe I will have a go at it soon.

No I'm not sure how a 3 day system would work either but it seems daft (and annoying) that if you just want something checked out that you are concerned about that you have to wait for so long. It seems unfair to take the place of someone who really needs a same day appointment just to get seen quicker.

I would like to think I will do some more stitching tonight but I don't really feel in the mood :(

    :j May i join?!

I think i have bitten off much more than i can chew.....
I picked a random internet image and translated it to a CS pattern using an online tool. Its huge and daunting, 150 by 150 stitches.....

I have only done about half a 50*50 panel

On top of this i have about half a dozen other crafts on the go, polymer clay, water colours, jewelery making and a half-finished door stop.

How do you stay motivated or even get the will to pick something back up??
