Ohhhhh I was in Buxton last week - if only.

Yes, I am back and some good news finished my final Sandy Hook square so will post pictures tomorrow - today has been a day of rest, washing and shopping.

Hope all are well - off for a catch up.

    Hi everyone

Yesterday was a blur, unpacking, washing, shopping - just catching up with everything and seeing my parents to collect Sam and saying happy birthday to my mum for her 70th birthday.

Had a lovely time in the Peak District - didn't like hotel - right beside the Manchester ring road and it had no air conditioning  Just as well I brought my ear plugs but it was very hot - but I didn't burn all my sun cream helped :) I also went into (but was very good and didn't buy) Wye Needlecrafts.

As i said yesterday I had finished my last Sandy Hook square - probably get them all washed - final photos before posting - hubby got a new camera (well I got it for him for our wedding anniversery) and he is still learning it and how to upload pictures - it was second hand in e*ay.

Now what next in stitching - two birth samplers - going to use the teddy I used for Sandy Hook as it was a good quick stitch.

Back to work tomorrow - so should be fun - washing my work skirt as it is looking a bit dirty - didn't notice before - so doing it now.

Keep well everyone - catch you later

    sweetcarer ;)

Combination of two of my favourite stitching ways - samplers and blackwork and even got in my favourite stitch - algerian eye.

    Afternoon ladies,

Having a bit of a catch up with you all this afternoon as I haven't been on laptop much over the last few days as I have been trying my hardest to get Let's Do Wine finished as it was sending me gaga.

Mrs MP - belated birthday wishes. Hope you had a lovely time. Was it the milestone birthday mentioned in your siggy? Looking forward to seeing tiger.

Maisie - great pics. Your work is so neat.

fos - thanks for your lovely comments on Sleeping Beauty and I can confirm she is now hung in our bedroom above the bed. Lets hope the wall fixings are strong enough and she doesn't come toppling down in the early hours.

Coxy - its so bloomin frustrating having to unpick but at least you spotted it now before it caused you more problems later.
Looking forward to seeing your piccy. Edit - just seen your pics and I love the flower shop and Sants's clothes. Well done. :T

JCS1 - oooohhhh I've been to Leek, admittedly it was a few years ago (35 years). I had to travel down there for a course when I started worked at Britannia. I can remember it was quite an adventure as it was the first time I had travelled alone and I had to get three trains.

sweetcarer - love your latest Sandy Hook square. I know you have mention Algerian Eye before - I am going to have to look it up and see what it looks like. I'm not very adventurous.

Well, as I mentioned have stuck with Let's Do Wine as it could quite easily have become a UFO. I just seemed to struggle with it - don't know why. Anyhow I have taken a little piccy and I will sort it out to post next.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Nowhere near as hot here today - the sun has been hiding for the last two days. Hope that is not the last we are going to see of it.

    Take care everyone.

Here's update pic of Let's Do Wine.

The next job with this is to make it into a cushion but it's not needed until beginning of Oct so I have got plenty of time to ponder over that :D. I think i will do a couple of small pics first, do cushion and then get 12 Day of Christmas back out seeing as the 'c' is starting to be mentioned in the Cafe.

    Bye for now

Looks lovely. Well worth persevering. Just a thought. Have you considered mounting it in a tray? Like these. http://http://www.sudberry.com/catalog/trays.htm
