added more to my stash this morning well it was rude not to. someone was selling cross stitch mags 10p each and kits 20p. i got 11 mags some still have cover kits on and one has a gorguss chart in, 2 newtons law kits, bent creek happy christmas row kit, two linda myers charts - 'log cabin quilts' and 'windmills and wild flowers' and mirabellas 'petal fairy' chart. the lot for £2.
also bought a kit of two young women on cycles from someone else for £1.50 thats a lanarte one, lady said it was a gift but she couldnt do it as one of the womens skirts has hitched up on her saddle and shes showing too much leg! LOL its saucy in an innocent way, i cant say it would cause offence.

i am supposed to be working through my stash not adding to it but really colndt resist these bargains.
at this rate ill be hoping to hang on to my eyesight and faculties till im about 120 years old!!!

hope all are well and stayed dry last night rain was terrible

What a fantastic bargain haul. You couldn't have walked away:D

I have that Lanarte design in my stash and think it is lovely. It has been available for years but is still for sale so mst be popular. It cst $71 on this site.

I've stitched a couple of the others on this page and they were really enjoyable to do

My Mum has claimed Rosa, so that's main Christmas present sorted.

Stitching mojo was back, she took 6 weeks.

On to my next one now, something a bit different, Dancing Tulips by Derwentwater Designs.

Pouring rain, thunder and lightening here, not going out for a while!

Love this. It's so unusual. Blackwork in a rainbow of colours. Very envious that you have already sorted a stitched present

sweetcarer - love the teddy its so cute. I don't think it matters what colour they are. Have to admit blue is my favourite colour though.

nmm - BD is coming along really nicely.

JCS - love Rosa she is so beautiful and your mum is really lucky to be getting her. I like the bright colours of your next project.

Mrs M - wow what a find all that cross stitch stuff. You really couldn't ignore it.

Fos - looking forward to seeing your ring pillow when you have finished the cushion.

emmalovesmickey - hope you manage to post up a picture of Gorjuss.

Well finally got some stitching done on Let's wine. Got two more weeks to finish it but only getting a little done each night as we have taken DS2 dummy from him and it's taking a while to settle him at night without it. He's only 2 but we wanted to do it sooner rather than later. To be honest he is doing better than we thought he would so hopefully he will have totally forgotten about it soon.

    Hi everyone,

    Anyone for coffee?

Not as much stitching as would have liked over the weekend. Despite having to have my foot elevated, it was so uncomfortable that I only managed to do some stitching last night. Well...I say stitching...yet again I have made a bodge of F.F.S. and used the wrong shade of 'grey blue' on the upstairs left window (there are 4 shades of grey blue ). Cue lots of unpicking and partial restitching. Dear God I will be SO glad when this is finished! I attach a photo.

JCS1 - love those tulips, really unusual colour/design.

nmm - loving the 'reveal' of your project - looking forward to more updates.

    Have a great day all

Hi All, read every day but don't often post. Here is an update on the Wolf Xstitch I am doing for my DD. I reckon I have nearly done about 17,000 stitches so far, only 35,168 in total to stitch! :rotfl:

Loving all the updates and have to say, I too have had to unpick parts of it through not paying attention! :rotfl: (to many pretty pictures on TV!)

DR suspects I may have Chronic Fatigue syndrome so stitching this has been a welcome distraction from feeling so awful.

Right, off to finish page 4. Have a lovely day stitching all.

What does everyone pay for framing?

There is a place near work which is excellent for getting things back within a week, and also great at picking out frames and mounts that match but they can be between £40-£50 each.

I've tried another one closer to home, and again the advice is good and I've been emailed various options to pick from, but the price range again is £40-£60.

I've got yet some more pieces with a third framer to try, not a shop but someone who has a workshop and does it more as a hobby. She is pricing up for me so am waiting to see.

Just makes it very expensive if stitching as a gift.

This is an awesome thread; not had a chance to read it yet but have already seen some pretty things, and I know it'll motivate me to finish my current cross stitch! I have fallen out of love with it, and it's hard because it's from a kit that came with the wrong colours (charity shop purchase) so it's a lot of effort when I don't really like it! Anyway, sorry for rambling, will read the whole thread when I get a chance :)

Welcome vl2588, i'm sure I echo everyone when i say we love photos, get some up of your WIP and we'll spur you on to finish it

JCS1, it depends on the size of picture, if its A4 or smaller then I get frames from the £1 shop or argos/wilkos etc. I've only framed 1 big one and that was a custom frame from here at £27 delivered.(measured 60cmx35cm)
