Coxy - The french shop is coming on so well. How frustrating to have 4 colours almost the same. That would have me so confused.

Moments of Sanity - sorry to hear about the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but your wolf is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Emmalovesmicky - your finished pieces are lovely, you would never guess that you have just started as they are so neat.

Vl2588 - welcome. Hope you manage to find more inspiration to finish off your WIP the birds are really lifelike.

Beg - well done on getting the cushion finished well ahead of your deadline. Looking forward to seeing an update on 12 days.

Mrs Moneypenny - love your finished peices. Titanic is looking very impressive. Is it difficult working on a dark background with dark colours? I hate doing white on white aida as I can't see where I have been :doh:The tiger is really cute. It will make a lovely cushion when you are finished.

JCS - wow the tulips are so unusual, I really like them.

Managed to get quite a bit done last night on Let's do Wine as DH put DS2 to bed. So only one more section in the bottom left corner to do and then onto the border. Have to admit at one stage I felt I was going crossed eyed with it but got there in the end.

Wow, that is absolutely stunning! I am doing the HN's for my 16 year old DD as she loves wolves.

Is this the first KK you have done? I haven't done any before this one.

Thank you Maise M, I am enjoying doing it as without my Xstitch I may well have gone mad by now ( don't ask the family to confirm I haven't already!) :rotfl:

Hiya, don't put yourself down your cross stitch pieces are lovely, I really like the completed House & Birds, it looks like lots of work went into that one. I love your current project too, I guess you love birds, I love wildlife too :) I've done lions, then a tiger and currently working on a wolf.

Aww thanks! Yes, the house and birds took a long time (especially as I tend to be a bit up and down with my cross stitch keeness!). I still haven't framed it but I have almost finished buying my first house so that will definitely motivate me to do that! I also have an Avro Vulcan to frame for the house.

I am an ecologist so very biased towards animals and nature etc. However, I also really love the older style samplers and all sorts of other things. I am supposed to be working on a needlepoint chicken cushion in memory of a friend who died, but after that I will try something completely different I think.

Your wolf is gorgeous; so exciting to see him/her developing!

Just having a catch up while hubby's got tea in the oven ;)

Mrs MP - lovely pics (as usual). I must say that I fascinated with the garden bench.

vl2588 - lovely pics. I particularly like the piggy cushion and little fairy pot. Any cookies left btw (cough cough :D)

winnie - hope you've had a lovely time.

JCS1 - great progress with tulips. Bet you get them finished in no time.

Maisie - I found the bottom left the most taxing bit too.

Got piccy of cushion. Will be back after tea.

    Well here's the Wine cushion

I'm really quite into 12 Days at present. At the moment I am doing '6 geese a laying'. The goose is white and grey so I have renamed it 'mucky duck' instead. Will do one more day after this one then I will post an update. Just realised I will be getting plenty of french knots and all the eggs are spreckled.

Oh well, going to settle down now with a nice cuppa and its backstitch and french knots for me. :D

    Take care everyone

Beg - not sure which cookies you mean, there were some mince pies and mini apple crumbles in my Christmas hamper one year! I must make some cookies though!!

I still haven't managed to pick up my needle and do any stitching. I think I need to find a small small project to stitch so that I get my mojo back. I never thought I would go off stitching but I don't seem to have any inspiration to do any at the moment. :(

That's sad, is it what I call the 'bored, can't be bothered' cycle? Or just lack of inspiration like writer's block? If you had a project with a purpose would that help? xxxx
