Hello all,
Hope everyone is well - sorry for my last message - had an upsetting time at work last week - made a booboo and the boss was none too happy but was sorted by the close of play but it knocked me for six - feel everything is against me.
I have been working on my learning sampler and finished part 6 - this just involved some satin stitch at the edges and the letters are all done in cross stitch - you can see all the purples used from light to dark (F-K), though the F is quite pale.
Now onto part 7 which involves square rhodes stitch, round rhodes stitch and diamond rhodes stitch.
I am thinking of making up a wee album with all the new stitches - with instructions and wee examples stitches beside the explanation - like a wee self help book.
Lovely works going on in here - we are such a talented lot.
Keep well everyone,

nmm, BD is coming on so well now, when you do finish we will miss his updates
sweetcarer, it is still very early days for you so your emotions are still very raw and close to the surface, give yourself lots of time.

Hi everyone sorry Ive not been posting still not 100% have a chest infection. I have been keeping up to date with all the posts.
MrsMP - your cushion is lovely. This is your bridesmaid dress material isn't it? Your tulips are growing fast!
Louise - your spell check of names made me laugh.
FOS - your Alphabet looks even nicer framed and the coaster is lovely, I bet you have quite a collection now.
nmm - BD update is looking good as normal.
Swetcarer - sorry things aren't too good for you at the moment but it is still very early days. I can clearly remember my Mums 1st anniversary making a mistake on a report at work and bejng so upset I wanted to hand my notice in. I didn't. I'm afraid you have to take each day one at a time and in time you will go from having an ok day once a week or so to having a bad one every week or so. Keep your chin up you know where we are. By the way I love your learning sampler.
Ayeshalush - your 50th Anniversary piece is coming on nicely.
JCS1 - nice lamb, I prefer it without the bird as well. Your blackwork lady is lovely, I'd use Ghread Heaven to help with using metallic thread.
Now my update. Drum roll please..... I've finished Henry expect for the beads. Should I wash it before adding the beads or after washing it? Think I'm leaning towards washing first.
I've also finished the Home Sweet Home design for my nephew and his wife. Just need to frame it. Will post a photo once I've framed it.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
