When you find the extra hours in the day please send some my way :D

I pin the excess fabric out of the way. I use curved safety pins which I use for quilting but ordinary safety pins do the job

ohhhhh Safety pins Fantastic Idea!!! I tried to stitch my fabric back on itself and it didn't work very well, but hating using a hoop as its not taught enough. Will have to find some safety pins. thank you.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    Poppies look amazing. :T

I love Michael Powell designs. I've done two cottage designs in the past - one for me and one for my sil. I bought one of the little MP chart books last year and keep meaning to do something from it but just need more hours to stitch.

Good luck with the garage sort out. ;)

You did the right thing No point in wasting precious stitching time on something that isn't right.

Don't suppose you do want to try again but if you really like the design you are welcome to my kit. I won't stitch it

Thanks for your kind offer fos but I think I will pass on this one. :o

I'm amazed and impressed as usual with everyone's work, but special mention goes to Emily for the stunning Dolly Mama and frame - a perfect match.

b_e_g - that's such a shame that the lamb card has been so much trouble. Would it be worth dropping the mag an e-mail? If they get enough feedback they may change the supplier girl the free kits. Well done on finishing your cushion. Looking forward to the photos.

Chicky - loving your blog, will have a proper read of it when I've hot hit more time.

Eric's Mum - your poppies are beautiful. I really like that Michael Powell kit, will need to go and have a browse of his stuff. Aww, Eric is gorgeous.

FOS - re extra hours, will do lol ;) . Thanks for safety pin suggestion, will give that a go.

Been crocheting this weekend (working on a granny square blanket) so no progress to report but planning to spend Sunday evening in front of tv with the Golden Wedding sampler.

    Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.

Well after no stitching for almost a fortnight I finally found a few hours tonight while watching a film (Vanilla Sky.....hated it!)

It's only a little set of baby feet but it will be a part of a bigger birth sampler that I am making for friends who had a little boy last week :)
My original plan was for a baby block and I stitched 5 of the squares month's ago but as usual my mind is running away with me and starting a bigger project :o

Just had a look at everyone's progress and there has been loads done!:T

Eric's Mum- if you aren't happy with the top of the poppy, you could always try adding a little more red to break up that straight line then backstitch along the top to complete that petal?

I'm also interested in these extra hours people are talking about.....who do I see about getting a few?:rotfl:

I think I started it, thinking oh I'll just do this (it wont take long) while I think about what I want to do next. Then when I couldn't find my mistake and it was really obvious where I had unpicked it that added to my frustration. But the quality of the thread was really poor and I agree it could be worth dropping the mag on email and see what they have to say. :)

Decorating at Mums today so no stitching here and tonight I want to see the DOI final.

Hope you all manage some quality stitching time.
