    morning all
BEG coxys suggestion of crocheting the squares together is a very good one, it gives a nice neat even finish.

    hope all are well.

started the tulips kit from an old issue of cross stitcher last night. i recall someone from here did it as well.
its the one i had the kit for but lost the mag with the instructions in so hugs thank you again to the kind person who sorted them out for me.

edit, cant you tell i started typing that and forgot to click post before work
i love all the photos of everyones updates and new starts, some really beautiful things being stitched

Thanks Mrs M. Think I will wait till I can get into town to pick up a crochet hook.

I did the tulips pic - just noticed it's almost two years ago now  I did it for a friend for her birthday. Tulips and poppies are among my favourite flowers.

Have made a start on the little lamb card that came with Card Shop earlier today. Shouldn't have really as I have loads of other jobs requiring attention. Weather has been gorgeous here today - had a line full of washing out ;)

b-e-g that looks stunning, the white frame really sets it off.

Update on my poppies, I reckon it will be finished by next weekend, lots of back stitch to do, which I quite like doing but takes me ages.

Hi everyone - I'm pretty new to MSE and was searching for pressure cooker recipes when I stumbled across this thread! I love to do cross stitch but don't have much time to do it. I'm hoping to start a wedding sampler soon but I have to try and decide on one first!

welcome ! It's a lovely thread, full of very warm and supportive stitchers.

Talking of pressure cookers, Mum gave me her old one when she downsized. I've never used it because I'm scared of it - I remember as a child it would sit on the hob hissing away and sometimes the weight popped up, it sounded like a volcano erupting. I can still picture Mum giving it a wallop with a wooden spoon to get the weight back in place. To this day I don't like stew :D

Erics Mum, Love the poppies, you've stitched them really quickly.

Chicky, Tikaani is on tablets to try and stop the seizures but she isn't stable yet. The problem is getting to the therapeutic level without damaging her liver, as shes on a high dose already.

BD update time :) Its moving along quickly.

    Hello to cupcakequeen88,
I had a pressure cooker years ago, loved it,cooked all sorts of things,my cats hated it,they used to hide each I used it.
Still waiting for a chart to arrive,so only doing cards which are easy to do,don't need a lot of thought!

Just popped on to say hello :hello:

Have caught up with the thread and loving everyone's beautiful stitching. Can't wait to see some of the other ones that are being talked about. I try to imagine them in my head when people describe what they are doing but my imaginings are never as lovely as the real things people produce.

I haven't done any stitching for a week or so as I have been busy trying to catch up with my reading and also have started getting stuff ready for gardening (sorting seeds etc). So I haven't had a lot of time. I managed to finish one Mother's Day card so I need to get a wiggle on with the other one. Have also decided to do the book that was free with one of the mags recently (had a dragonfly to stitch for the cover) as a present for MIL for Mothers Day as she lives far away and it will be easy to post.

Anyway enough ramblings. Hugs to all who need them.
