Hi everyone - I'm pretty new to MSE and was searching for pressure cooker recipes when I stumbled across this thread! I love to do cross stitch but don't have much time to do it. I'm hoping to start a wedding sampler soon but I have to try and decide on one first!Taking on my first mortgage in 20140

Thanks for the warm welcome
Yes the wedding xstitch is for me but I'm still trying to decide what I'd like - our home is modern so I guess something that would fit in with that!
At the moment I'm working on a XS apron, but it won't let me add the photo here yetTaking on my first mortgage in 20140 -
Welcome to the Cafe cupcakequeen
Finished the last knitted square yesterday for cushion. Might have a go at putting all the squares together - not sure how to go about it but I might try and have a go later. I've never stitched knitting before. :rotfl:
Itching to get back into stitching. Might just have a go at the kit that came with the last WOCS before I start a larger project.
Take care everyone

beg - you could always crochet slip stitch them together. Right sides together, hook through the two stitches and bring the yarn through. HTH.
Will post an update later plus a picture of the stockings and my framed blackwork sampler

tricksie - can't believe you only have another 5 projects in your stash
The latest design is very stylish.
I can't believe I only have five left either. Probably the first time in twenty years my stash has been that small! It's actually quite a nice feeling, as I know everything I have, I love, so makes choosing the next project so much easierTricksie – your Caf! is really unusual the way it’s the inside of the caf! looking out. I’ve not seen this design before.
The kit is Russian, and I think there are three more in the series. I bought it at the stitching show at Bluewater two years ago... £45.00
Haven't got very far with it yet

I was hoping to have it half done (2/4 pages) by the time I go on holiday next Monday, but think it will only be a quarter (1/4 pages) as it is solid stitching with a fair amount of confetti. I'm enjoying it though and there's no backsitch to do:):)

Thanks chicky. It is lovely to have you back in the cafe
A few more photos whilst I have the laptop on (really struggle with the Kindle Fire)

This is my holiday project, taken from a magazine yonks ago! Had some lovely 28ct Quaker fabric from an exchange and threads from my stash. Just needed to buy one extra skein of green as there is a lot of it in the border and not sure I'll find a supplier in Gran Canaria if I run out!

Made a start on it on Saturday as I hate actually starting it on the plane, but have now popped it in my bag ready for next week
I love seeing everyones projects on here and am always surprised that no two of us are doing the same ones!Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -

Thanks Coxy. I have never had much success with crocheting. I used to have my nana pulling her hair out - my little doilies always ended up looking more like sombreros :rotfl: :rotfl:
Will have go with the squares soon but I am getting pulled toward Cross Stitch Card Shop which has just dropped through the letterbox this morning. I thought I had already received the last of my 3 for £5 ( had quick look though and there are lots of things that can be used for Easter).
Take care everyone
