Louise I've got the variegated threads (bargain buy when I was on holibobs in Florida). I can send you a length of each, save you buying whole skeins.

That is so nice of you, I would really appreciate that, thank you :T:beer: I will check the numbers and pm you when I get home xx
DMC have introduced 16 new colours..... First new colours in 15 years apparently.... http://www.123stitch.com/item/DMC-2013-New-Colors-Floss-Pack/DMC2013

    I want!!

My first thought was 'aaaaagggghhhh DMC why have you done this now!' Then I realised that they are all 3000+ numbers so I should be able to squeeze in an extra column and include them...hopefully :)

Louise - my first thought when i saw they had introduced new colours was oh no what's Louise going to do, I checked the numbers as well.

Would love them but can't justify the postage, wish I knew someone that was off to USA. Never mind hoping to go next year so should start saving now for the suitcase load I might try to buy :)

The new DMC colours are available at Cross Stitch Heaven for £8 clicky, they came out last year sometime.

Mrs-Moneypenny, congrats on completing Titanic :T Dare I ask whats next? :p

Louise, the dmc colours are looking great :)

Chicky, glad I could help jog your memory, hope you're making good progress on it.

AlisB, lovely update its a very unusual kit.

Mrs Ceejay, the dinos look really colourful stitched up, I hope you finish them on time.

Ems, your grandparents stitch looks so nice, the photo stitches up better than I imagined it. How did you convert it?

MasieM & FOS, great finished pieces, they are all perfect :D

Emily, dolly is cool, I have a book full of similar designs somewhere.

Kez - Dictionary of tea is coming along grand.

Fos - love the wedding sampler. Is it cream linen that you are stitching on? You have some beautiful finished works and your framer has done a fantastic job on them. Geisha will look fab as a cushion.

    .

I love your 3 finished pieces

My wedding sample isn't cream linen. It's "vintage " which means it's mottled I really like the effect and Belfast liens is one of my favourite fabrics to stitch on

Really pleased with how this is stitching up. Averaging one person a week so if I can keep going I should be finished in 4 weeks. That's allowing 1 week per person and 1 week to do the border and back stitch. I would to have it finished before the end of March so that's leaving a couple of weeks for any slack.

Wow this is looking great and is stitching up really fast for such a detailed piece

My framer charged £48 and £36 which I was happy to pay as I know they are done properly - laced not stuck down The only time I've been disappointed by them is when they haven't got the moulding I've chosen in stock And I suppose I'd like it if they could cut fancy mounts as previous framers I've used have done but overall I think they do a great job. I'm happy to frame small pieces myself but not big ones so is rather wait until I can afford the framing than do a botched DIY job. Because the geisha piece used a lot of different stitches not just half cross stitch the canvas hasn't distorted so it should be ok to make into a cushion. Just need to sort through my fabric stash for something suitable.
