    morning all

Louise they all look fantastic, well done on being so productive.

thank you all for the very kind words about titanic
i picked tiger cub up again yesterday - he now has a tail. I think i now know why he doesnt seem to fit the fabric (you remember its the kit i bought from a carboot that was already started) it seems that he has been stitched across the widest part of the oblong instead of down it. But hes too cute not to finish and im sure i can make it into a cushion or bag panel once hes complete.
this is the photo i took of tiger last year

Still it is something I suppose.

I have started my TA training and that lasts a year so it looks like I wont have much time for the next 12 months, but it will be worth it in the end, so may just stick with cover kits until then.

I have come to the decision over the last few days that I don't really have the time I need to give to my rainbows group any more so as sad as it makes me I think I'm going to leave. What with the 2 courses I'm doing, 2 days at the school, school governor, being my granddads full time career, the 3 imps and the husband, something's got to give :(

On a brighter note keep sharing those pictures they are all gorgeous.

    Love to all

  • maria you do sound like you have an awful lot on your plate. i can totally understand where you are coming from with this decision and as hard as it was to make i think that for you at this time it is the right one.

    Hello girls,

I am coming out of my lurkdom, and thought I say hi and thank you.

I want to thank Chicky for letting you all know what happened - it fully hasn't sunk in as yet - I am still off work but think I will go back Monday. I want to thank you all for your kind wishes here and the ones on facebook too - you all have been very kind.

Yesterday, I managed to do some stitching and finished the latest part in the learning sampler - where I learned variation of smyrna crosses (top 2 rows and bottom 2 rows) and double leviathan stitches (middle row).

So here it is with the first 5 parts done

I have tried to zoom in here with the specialty stitches
