Is this the design you were after, I pinned it "just in case".

Thanks Ailsb - have pinned it too. It is different to the one I was thinking but I quite like it. Will have to decide whether I am going to do a stitch or not - wedding not til the beginning of August but it will creep up on us before we know it.

beg. Re thread heaven. Found a good vid on utube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GKz0typoW4 It's foreign and long winded but if you fast forward to 2.15 and watch until 2.40 that's the bit you need. (pull it through the gel, then pull gently through your fingers to get off any excess)
It shows how to use it better than I can explain
You can use it with all threads but it's supposed to be especially useful when using with metallics. I have some and find it really helps when using cheapie threads, as I'm currently stitching with DMC I haven't needed to use it for a while.
If you use it alot the top layer can become embedded with tiny fibers. Using a flat blunt knife, prise it carefully out of the pot, flip it over and it's good as new.
Hope that helps
Thanks shelly - bought some from Hobbycraft the other day for £3 which I didn't think was too bad. I haven't had a chance to study the video yet but I have marked it for future ref (when I give the stuff a go). I also found this site whilst I was pricing the Thread Heaven before going to HC. It may give people some idea about it if they were thinking of giving it a go. Many thanks

Have been guilty of reading but not posting this week but have a few minutes lull before visiters arrive
ems. Your photo stitch is amazing I would expect tears when you present it
Emily . Dolly looks fab I've found that sometimes - you think you are almost finished and actually there is quite a lot of stitching to do. But it's worth it
mrsceejay. Dinosaurs are looking good, so bright and colourful
kez. Dictionary is making good progress. You inspired me to take my dictionary of cakes which was finished 2 years ago  to the framers. Collected it yesterday and think they've done a great job. Love the way the outer mount picks up the colour of the banner. I don't have the chart any more or I would have passed it on

beg. Good luck with the DIY
Louise. Hope you feel better soon
ericsmum. Jack russell is very cute and you've stitched it really quickly
chicky. Glad you found the word clouds. I thought there was a love one but I was at work and couldn't check my magazines. I did the birthday cocktail glass last year. Love your Halloween sampler
mrsmp. Titanic looks wonderful
tricksie. Love your next project. It will look so good against pale green walls
coxy. Don't envy you using 3 strands on 18 count but it looks great
nmm. Thanks for the update. Now I see why you said you still have lots to do
skoobie. Hope things get better for you Sending you virtual hugs and chocolate
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend0 -
Also picked up my ABC of needlework yesterday

And I finished the Geisha needlepoint piece Think I may make it into a cushion rather than having it framed as it am seriously short of wall space

I am really enjoying finishing UFOs and using stash instead of buying new but I have fallen in love with this new Lanarte kit
