nmm - he's looking really good. Not much left to do now.

Quick question - are any of you members of any other cross stitch forums or facebook cross stitch pages? I only ask as I've been browsing a couple of facebook cross stitch sites and some of the comments/names seem familiar.

Still no cross stitch here for me but I have ordered my threads. 110 ordered - yay. Have promised myself I'll get my stitching back out tomorrow (I moved it over Christmas).

Out of curiosity, do people work on one project at a time, or have a number of WIPs on the go at once? I must admit i prefer to do one at a time so that i dont get distracted.

Ah.......I have to confess I always have a few on the go at once....and when I say a few I mean 10-20 :o:o:o I tend to complete over 20 pieces every year though, of varying sizes.

I will have a shufti through them and shame myself into not starting any more*

    * wonders if anyone will actually believe that :rotfl:

That made me laugh. As I read it I thought "no she'll never manage that". But you complete so many I don't think it matters for you.

It depends what's meant by on the go. If that's the piece that you actively put needle through thread at any one time (perhaps within a week) then its 1. If its the number of pieces I have on frames, thread sorted, that I could pick up and stitch then it's 5. If it's number started with threads somewhere then I can't answer. Makes me feel a bit guiltly at having ordered a chart and small beaded kit at the beginning of the week - I'll try to finish something before I start anything else.

    Haha, I knew it :rotfl::rotfl:

Here is my first finished piece for 2014 - started on 29th December, I didn't even plan to do it, I was just sorting through some charts and thought 'Oh, that looks nice' and worked on it over the last week of the holidays - it was fairly easy and I loved the gentle pastel colours.

Great finishes Louise & Coxy, they are lovely. Thank you for all the lovely comments re BD, but I still have 5 pages to go :p I can't believe I've been stitching it since April 2012 although I only do about 1hr a night, I need some of louise's super speed, bottle it up and send it please :rotfl:

I generally only do 1 project at a time, but stop for cards if they are needed. I think my next project will be Remembrance Fields by Maria Diaz (top picture), in memory of my granda. Then seen as I have the threads it may well be Dreams of Atlantis :D Has anyone ever stitched a HAED 1 over 1?

    Hi everyone,
    Coxy11
Your sampler is very pretty, very detailed,I have done (v+a)one of theses and it is not as complicated as it looks at first glance, but a good light is essential.
    nmm
Nb is going to be wonderful he is so real,a wild animal but he has such a gentle expression and there is life in his eyes.
I love poppies, there is a kit,it's just one or two poppies on a black background but I can't for the life of me where I've seen,I would to love to do it,was it on here in the cafe?
    Louise
How do you sew such large kitsso fast,is it magic?if so could you send abit down to me as I am going like crazy to finish the dinosaur alphabet, will post another photo tomorrow.

I usually try to just have one project on the go at once but the last year or so they seemed to have expanded,so two or three at the moment.
Back to the dinosaurs, the borders are abit boring.
    Happy stitching x

Coxy - your sampler looks good.

Louise - lovely finish. It may not surprise you to know I have that design in my stash:)

Mrs Ceejay - keep going with dinosaurs it will be worth it.

Here's an update on my Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock design. I had to stop stitching it before Christmas. I'm hoping to get it finished my the end of the month, although I can only stitch it when my son's not around.
