what a shame, I've just got back from Florida where DMC are less than 20 pence each - I could have got your 150 for £30.

Well, looks like I know what I'll be filling my backpack with on our next trip to the States!0 -
I've sorted my threads out this afternoon (Fr Christmas promised to top me up to a full set
). I have 3 boxes full of thread but I have so many duplicates it's unreal, not quite sure why I have so many. I need 150 colours to make a full set   Can anyone recommend someone cheap and reliable to get them from please.
I really need to do this job one day - keep putting it off and I am thinking of making my own thread colour chart when I do.
Here is a company I used recently - for DMC they are only 42p each - I needed some Anchor (53p each)
http://www.shop.katzxstitch.co.uk/
but I am tempted by this site on facebook - a few people I know via facebook cross stitch pages
https://www.facebook.com/groups/151637411694033/
They are only £2.75 FOR 10 x 8m postage is charged at 60p per each 10 x 8m ordered - she has approx 350 colours on her DMC list.
Hope it helps.

ems - looking forward to seeing updates of Vintage. Hows gran and grandad coming along?
Ailsb - I'm on a mission to sort my threads this year too. Will probably have loads of duplicates too.
No stitching here since New Years Day - lost a little bit of mojo I think. Got it out yesterday, then DH brought me a lovely hot chocolate and I thought stitching and hot chocolate don't make a good combination.
Might try and take a pic later to show you how far I have got with Family Tree.
Take care everyone,

Almost finished page 4 of 6, which is half of my nan. I'm hoping to finish this page by the end of the week. I can't wait to finish it, not only for the look on my mums face when she gets it, but also so i can start doing something for myself!0 -

It seems as though you are getting there quite quickly. Looking forward to your next update.

Hi everyone,
Back from HC - bought the DMC colour I needed (80p ) so I can now crack on and finish the Blackwork Sampler. Did as much as I could yesterday afternoon, then started something new in the evening. It's a V&A Art Nouveau design. Small but with beads  so will take a while I think.
Coasters were £2.27 each in HC - Louise/fos - where do you buy yours/is that a good price?

Out of curiosity, do people work on one project at a time, or have a number of WIPs on the go at once? I must admit i prefer to do one at a time so that i dont get distracted.0

Helloo girls
Been on a shopping trip into Newcastle today and came across some lovely cross stitch kits - Bothy and Histroical Sampler Co. and I still didn't give in.Then HC sent me an email about a sale - started to look but then retreated quickly and deleted email
I usually do one project at a time and would only maybe do a card at the same time if it was needed quickly. On the topic of cards, I have been looking for a card (ready made one) for neice's 18th and I cannot say that I am all that impressed and some of the prices they are charging are quite . So I am pondering on doing one of the age cards that were in the last Cross Stitch Card Shop.
Take care everyone
